We all read/get the same news.
Please don't repost news here unless you have something to comment yourself,
otherwise it's spam/phising on behalf of the organisations named/reporting.

I don't know what the original message was, but reading the subject... I would not think it is spam.
I personally think it was more a rant or a debate start for "freedom of speech" vs. "company benefits"

Quote: I personally think it was more a rant or a debate start for "freedom of speech" vs. "company benefits" Yeah but how does just reposting the article "start a debate??"
by all means re-post an article, but then don't title it "let's discuss," without starting that discussion. Like I said we all read news, what was gained by reposting it with nothing else said?

If the article is no blatant publicity and you use it as the source to start a debate, it is not spam.
But I agree in the "try to not repost" (if proceed).

If it is a repost, would you please link the first post of the topic?
I didn't see the original message... only the edited version after the answer of "the goat in your machine". So I can't say if the article linked had been already used or not.
I can recall something about this topic (can't find it, though) but not in recent times.
And anyways, I continue saying that the subject line is pretty much more an indicative for the start of a debate than many of the threads posted in the lounge.
But I can't tell for sure if it was one or not, because (again) I didn't read the original message.

A structure that holds a lexeme, including the symbol id and associated value

i explain it all here
How to Build a Regex Engine in C#[^]
but basically a symbol is something you attach to an expression. as you move through text, several patterns/expressions are evaluated and the one that matches on each move is reported. The symbol id is what is reported.

tl;dr - but I still think it's a nifty clue - hmm... now if we could do that for anagrams... hmmm

Ah, so it's basically a classification of the value -- such as the part-of-speech of a word.
I'm mainly asking due to my recent foray into the parsing (or probably just lexing) of JSON.
As it stands, my "tokens" are just bare strings with no classification -- or all have the implicit classification of "token".
