You're not getting any better at it. Maybe you should go and practice somewhere where it's allowed.

I sometimes really wonder...
Do you really think 100% all what you say?
or do you just go against the people speaking in a thread as devil's advocate?
And it is genuine curiosity. I don't care if google this or that.

So, let's see if you can actually explain what is wrong with my comments. Why are you against having a sense of humor? Or are you just trolling?

Playing devil's advocate for the sick of a good debate is something I have done several times, being a troll is (at least for me) being a jerk or trying to make the other get in a discussion and enjoy making him get angry.
It is easy to see that I don't usually agree with you, but as far as I can remember I have never accused you of being a troll and neither did I in my previous message.

Nelek wrote: is I never know if you are being serious or sarcastic Why wouldn’t I be serious about this? I find it interesting that last week there were at least a dozen jokes about the virus but nobody said it was in bad taste. Now all of a sudden April fools jokes are in bad taste? It does not make any sense. So, I should be asking the rest of you if you are serious?

I didn't say April Fool's by Google was bad taste, I just asked if you were being serious or sarcastic.

Yes, I am very serious. I don't see the problem with joking and many in the Lounge seem to agree.

Because of the neighborhood, things didn't look particularly strange (certainly not for the time of day and day of week). Quiet walk around the block.
Perfect temperature, clear skies, low humidity, mild breeze. It's nice to forget for a while (or perhaps remember why you want to get through this).
Advisory: Let the sun shine on your face and it will make you smile.

Which shows the speed of the crisis: #FlattenTheCurve.
It shows a massive failure of western society (politics, health care and citizen) in fighting that pandemy and the sucess of asian countries like japan, south corea even china.

Have you even looked at the numbers?
Their strategy of massive lockdown, followed up with door-to-door testing, has been massively successful -- in a country where governance can only be described as herding 1.4 billion bad-tempered cats (and making regional/provincial leaders toe the line in China is far harder than it is in the US).
Making people congregate in testing areas (even drive-throughs, as first implemented in Korea) is effective, but creates new risk hotspots, no matter how diligent the organisers are.
Western countries' "herd immunity" and "it'll just go away like a miracle" strategies are responsible for the mess we're in, and will likely be responsible for a huge number of deaths.
God only knows how many people are alive today because the Chinese leadership made difficult decisions early -- but by no means easily, given that they had to work from a standpoint that no-one knew anything about the disease, at that time, and avoiding what might have been unnecessary panic was a real thing.
The Chinese central government has done a fantastic job.
We should be so lucky.

Have you heard of that new-fangled thing called "the Internet"?
So have 1.4 billion Chinese nationals. If you've got Chinese friends, get them to show you what Chinese nationals are talking about.
Your assumption that their leaders are incompetent at their jobs and inveterate liars who get away with anything they do and say looks like an erroneous transposition with "leaders" of certain western nations, and your willingness to believe that the Chinese people are stupid enough to blindly believe everything such incompetent liars tell them seems to be a reflection of the people of those western nations.

The "leaders" people are being conned into electing in the Americas and Eastern/Western Europe, these past few years, are the worst since Stalin and Hitler.
Assuming that the leaders of Oriental countries are as terrible is a natural thing to do, I suppose, but that doesn't mean it's true.

Global condom shortage looms as coronavirus shuts down production | The Guardian[^]

The shortage needn't be a big problem.
A Scotsman goes into a chemist's and asks, "How much to have this condom replaced?"
"That'd be 80p."
"And to have it repaired?"
"That'd be 40p."
"I'll be back in a while."
An hour later he returns and says, "The regiment have decided to have it repaired."
