Depends on the weather - last time I heard there was a 40% chance of it being too inclement to launch.

A huge step in the new space era!
I'm not sure how many it cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

Apparently, the company I work for is in charge of rescuing the astronauts, should anything go wrong.

We had some pretty severe storms on Saturday, and lost power several times. One of those times was three consecutive power cycle events that had some detrimental effects on my Raspberry Pi3B+ DNS servers. One Pi died completely, and the other fried its thumb drive (it's somewhat curious that the pi that died was not the one that contained the corrupted thumb drive). I re-imaged the thumb drive and had a spare Pi, so recovery took a few hours (I took the opportunity to update the OS and PiHole software).
For the Pi that died, we interred it in a small crypt in the back yard, and had a small private remembrance ceremony in the house. There were tears.
EDIT
=============
BTW, they were plugged into a UPS (which I also switched out for a spare one).

UPS's are your friends.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

I have six UPS's. I had a spare one that I connected the pi's too so I could see if I could fix the one that was in use at the time.

Hi,
Most of the 18650 power banks allow you to charge/discharge at the same time. They go for around $10-20 and would have prevented this from happening. The 18650 batteries on the other hand... go for around $5 each for the good brands.
With no power my board would still be up for several days.

They were on a UPS. You normally don't find out your UPS is dead until something like this happens. :/

Hmmmm,

Interesting. I've never seen a UPS without a battery indicator. Most of my APC units have an audible alarm that you simply cannot ignore.
Your prepper skills seem to be devolving. You should go check the emergency food cache... I bet some of it is spoiled.

A bad battery indicator wouldn't detect a failed surge suppression system; and I'm less than impressed with the ones in the APC towers I have. They may alert on a completely dead battery, but not one that's degraded to the point it can't keep your system running until it does a self-test and crashes it due to power loss.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Well,
I don't know what model you are using but I paid $700 each for the ones here in my office and both of them perform a self-test periodically and do indeed test for surge suppression and wiring faults along with the battery load test. The alarms are *really* loud... it's the only negative thing I can say about them.

I'm using consumer grade UPS's ($180 1500 mva).
Everything I'd read says not to plug a power strip into a UPS (or is it plugging a UPS into a power strip?), but in this case, I think doing so might have at least saved the hardware.

But have you ever seen a ups in a room that's almost never used, like, when something bad happens and you have to go see wtf is going on?
Outa sight, outa mind...

Spill the beans then.
I had nothing other than the assumption that either the start or end was an anagram, but I couldn't get anything out of either of them so perhaps that was a decoy?

I tried them as well, and got nowhere...

Either I have never heard of that word, or I did and I had forgotten it as quickly as I will forget it now.
Can you explain how it relates to "a team"?
