Someone [^] was claiming that the Earth had a second moon that NASA does not want us to know about and it turns out part of that is true.
Earth has two extra, hidden 'moons'[^]
Interesting.
I think this might explain why so many people are crazy these days; their phases are off being pulled by more than one moon.

Very interesting.
And..."When will Elon Musk be sending one of his Teslas to orbit one of those clouds?"
Also, if I make sure to always stay under this cloud on sunny days, can I stop slathering on the sunscreen? What kind of SPF does the dust-cloud provide?

You count dust clouds as moons ?
If so, I have some handsome real-estate for you to purchase at a bargain rate - good hunting, too: lots of dust-bunnies!

L4 and L5 are the only stable Lagrange points, in the sense that a particle in one of them given a small perturbation will orbit around the point. L1,2,3 are unstable, in the sense that a particle in one given a small perturbation will keep going. It is therefore unlikely that large amounts of dust have collected in them.
It would be interesting to see if the Earth-Solar Lagrange points (L4,5) have also collected stuff. We already know that Jupiter has collections of asteroids in its Solar L4,5 points.

The Wikipedia article 3753 Cruithne says that Cruithne is not a moon of Earth, that the Beeb was wrong , and that this was corrected in a later episode of Qi.
The article also mentions that Earth has one known object in the Earth-Sun L4 position (none known in L5), so that answers my other question.

... we are talking about a very predatory animal here: few days go by without something dead or alive being dropped in the living room. Dij brings in prey from a shrew the size of your thumbnail up to adult rats and blackbirds.
And yes, I know he stalks the neighbours bird table - it has a sign on it saying "McDijalds"!
But today, while I was hanging out the washing I saw a hunt from beginning to end.
He walks out of the house, onto the back lawn and sits down. And just sits there, looking around at the flowers, the sky. Just an apex predator enjoying the sunshine. Then he drops his head to the ground, picks up a mouse, takes it indoors and lets it go for me to hunt down ...
How the heck does that work?

Many (many many) years ago I saw a mother cat catch a bird for her kittens.
The birds landed - maybe 15 feet away. She crouches. Inches forward, then . . . she spring ! The birds all take off in a rush almost instantly. Then she jump and pulls one out of the air - 8-10 feet in the air. I was quite astounded.

Actually, got two of them as in NY State's Finger Lakes - hey, even curmudgeons need some time off
Gorgeous Gorges.
That area is amazingly beautiful. The water falls, which are quite abundant in the gorges they etched, were not at their peak (it's been rather a dry summer) but a 215' tall falls is always impressive (that's about 66m). Healthy trip, too, as all but one of the falls required a decent trek through absolutely beautiful forests growing on steep hillsides (I did say gorges).
One trek, to the Rainbow Falls, include a trail with an amazing number of steps (832 of them, fortunately, not all at once). The 215' trek to Taughannock falls was much gentler, alongside a large flat glacial stream (much of the bed showing). One of the informational signs points out that the side we were on gets little sun and is mainly coniferous whilst the other side gets a great deal of sun and is composed primarily of deciduous trees.
Ithica, NY, is also the home of Cornell University - and they've quite a nice botanical gardens.
Anyway - it's our replacement for a cancelled trip to Hawaii arranged about a month before the COVID outbreak. With NY States infection rate now extremely low, a driving/walking vacation was in order.
So that's why I wasn't here to entertain and annoy - if anyone noticed.
