Thanks OG for the burp day wishes, I was on t'road so missed it and yesterday was spent assembling my present - a fuge pool for the garden.
I was really touched, and will of course report it to the authorities.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

You're not thinking about it the right way.

Reminds me of when I had to explain the the young developers why a radio button control is called a radio button.
They still use it to mean checkbox...

Do not let them take your temperature when you go to the supermarket, because it erases your memory.
I went in for mac and cheese and came out with 2 cases of beer.
I'm not sure how many cookies it makes to be happy, but so far it's not 27.

Were the instructions - can you get me a can of beer at the shop and if they have mac and cheese bring back two packs?

Does anyone else have a 3D printer? I just ordered a Creality Ender 3 Pro, and was looking for one or more kindred spirits.
After watching a crapload of videos, and reading a crapload of articles, I ordered a crapload of upgrades, and hope to soon be printing a crapload of little plastic things.

I have a Prusa, love it and print all kinds of goodies.
You'll be needing a good CAD program before long. You can only print so many things that others create before you start saying; "WHy hell I can make one better than that".
Until then Thingiverse - Digital Designs for Physical Objects[^] has a lot of stuff to wade through.

I have a Anycubic i3 Mega-S, and it works really well.
For CAD, I can strongly recommend AutoCad Fusion 360, with Ultimaker Cura for the actual slicer. Both are free, or free for hobbyists / startups.
Have a look here: Adventures in 3D printing Part 1: Fusion, you CAD![^] - it covers my initial steps.

I built an Ender 3 for my brother in law... check the connections inside the main control board box, the hotbed power connector was loose on arrival, and tried to overheat the connector.
Other than that it is a good little machine.

Yep, just checked that. The connections are tight, and it appears as if Creality is listening to youtubers, because my printer came with a genuine XT60-H connectors on the power supply pigtail.
The print area is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I'm considering getting the Ender Extender 300 kit (300x300mm print area).

I've had an Ender 3 for about 7 months.
You can print a lot in 235x235x250 mm^3 and you can always split a model into several pieces in the slicer or, better, design it so it prints in pieces which fit together.
Also, printing smaller models means that when a print run screws up you haven't wasted as much filament.
