Everything the religious right claimed about them is true! Homosexual demon spawn indoctrinating our children while still in the cradle.
Evil pagan rituals and than final joyful jump back down a pit to return to hell !

No joke: I was taking herself to Hospital this morning- nothing serious - and there were road works, with warning signs:
"Roadworks 600 yards"
"Roadworks 400 yards"
"Roadworks 200 yards"
"Roadworks 100 yards" And I realized that I no longer have an "innate sense" of how long 100 yards is - a metre, yes. 100 metres, yes. A foot, yes. An inch? Maybe. But not a 100 yards. "Y miles" I can relate to, but not "Y Km". Strange but true.

91 meters.
For all practical senses, when you're sitting in a car that is, you can substitute with meters.

A few years back I saw:

"Roadworks 300 metres"
"Roadworks 200 metres"
"Roadworks 100 yards"

Madness: Doing the same thing over and over and getting different (read weird) results.
VS2019, community edition. Office/Excel addin solution, about 4 or 5 years old.
Working fine on system A, have to fix a user error. "Don't let users make errors, they create unpredictable results". OK, so it's a bug, not a user error.
Create a fix, er um, hack.
Decide to copy the project to a newer system. Both on E: drive.
Get an error on build, "can't delete some file, access denied". Fix permissions, rebuild. Now: "can't delete same file, it is in use".
Move the solution from E:\ to C:\users\source\repos
"Can't open: the blah.csproj file it is in use". It isn't. Restart VS, wash, rinse repeat.
Delete the .csproj file and copy it back (from same E: source).
Solution builds and runs as designed, such as it is.
Copy solution back to the E: drive. Still builds and runs.
Color me confused. Do I get a piece of cheese? Or the dunce cap for moving the solution?
I just declared victory and released it.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.
