Just because I can now join the "guessing the answer" club, doesn't mean I'm ready to join the "posting a clue" club.

And yet you complain that the CCC here is a bit of a private club just for three or four members.
You have just been Sharapova'd.

This one was very easy though, so I still stand by my earlier statement.

Strongly AGREE.
But AGREE has just 5 characters, I'm afraid that it would not be considered by the private members

I'm very apprehensive about setting tomorrows clue

Are you anticipating a French help then?

Trying to remove McAfee from a friends lappy after upgrading, resetting, and upgrading again to win 10.
And it should be easy, according to McAfee site (hah! Heard that before!)
Just go to "Add and Remove Programs" in "Settings" and take it out.
So...Windows 10. "Windows button", "Settings" - don't see it, so I'll search, using the Settings search box...
Search "add" - "No results for add"
Search "Add" - "No results for Add"
Search "uni" (as the beginning of "uninstall") - and the first result is "Add or remove programs"...
So...it's a search that only finds things if you look for completely different text? That's a bit surreal, even for MS!
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

"Settings" is third from the bottom on the Desktop menu. Click on the logo at bottom left, you can't miss it. Unless your mate is running the Welsh Ffenestri version.

That's what I did - but it's the search results that are ... um ... a touch inconsistent...

Searching for items has never been Windows or Microsoft's strong site, just look at Bing. I remembered the first time I used that, and Search up MSDN, the first link was to a site with pictures of naked girls.

Well to be fair, most Google searches are probably trying to find those pictures, so maybe they were just anticipating demand?

Yeah, statistically its probably the correct result for male searchers regardless of the search words.

Maybe Microsoft just thought it would help relieve some of the frustration from using bing?
Like a sorry that you have to use our search engine, here are some nudes instead.

If you're a MFC programmer try a google search for CString and scroll down (NSFW).

Dare I try CLstCtrl?

So why are you complaining?

We've found that searches in Microsoft Outlook are often incomplete where you'd think that looking for a word in the subject should be simple to do.
I'm not a programmer but I play one at the office

Yeah, I discovered that a long time ago, and rarely use it.

Try finding all the SQL related stuff when you have SQL Express installed: typing "SQL" finds the SQL Server Management Studio, but not the SQL Serve Configuration Manager. However, once you've opened SSCM, then typing SQL finds it.
There is something seriously wierd about the start menu search. It behaves similarly strangely if you search for windows update too...

Dunno, works for me. And you could have right-clicked on the Start button -> Programs and Features, you know...
