Both should be considered good and useful that just target to different readers and different occasions with different purposes
Both have their place.
I browse codeproject when I want to find a new idea, stumble upon an interesting point of view, concept or API someone else is playing with.
I query stackoverflow when I'm searching for an answer to a simple question someboby already had.
Notice that codeproject is more for browsing, and stackoverflow for querying.
Codeproject makes you ask better question but rarely give answers.
Stackoverflow gives answer, but never make you ask better question.
It is like if you compare a good book with google, and that you are saying that google get more view... true, but google gives you answer while the book makes you smarter.

No, it was well planned in advance.
You are supposed to ask how many letters (you can see where this is heading now, can't you?)

Hi All,
I have by the looks of it a sticking plaster job to do on a VB project (head hangs in shame!) All I wanted was to look busy so I didn't get it but I got it. It appears that the project is in VS2013 which me luck, Away!!!
All ready happened! why did he use Vis Studio Express 2013 why, we only have VS2008 so I am trying to download the express edition he used. While trying to hack a copy of the solution to open in 2008...
Forget the solution file: create a new project, and add all his files one by one.
It's not worth trying to hand tune the SLN file...
Thanks I was getting nowhere fast! I'll give that a go...

You may get some errors if he has used .NET V4.5 features, but probably it's just a case of latest-is-best syndrome!
Well, that's the thing it is all ground hugging code that doesn't seem to be using any of the .NET features I can see...
Well just to update you (in case you were interested...) I have altered the form stuck it where the hard coded(?) path lives and run it, it works!!!
