They have a menu 'Pricing & Options' which leads you to pages like this one.[^]

Hi All,
It's British summer time and it's a nightmare here. Nearly everthing these days auto-adjusts the hour except a few things. I was bitten today as I was late in as the alarm clock wasn't adjusted for the hour. However when I clocked in this mornin', wait the 10 or so mins for me to appear on the network open the page check the details I have been here an hour and ten minutes... not complaining!

I just received the following message concerning a website (that I access on a regular basis) that is maintained by a large professional organisation:
Quote: We have had a number of reports of volunteers experiencing problems after the clocks changed on Sunday 25 March. This doesn't appear to affect all volunteers, but there have been a significant number of reports of volunteers where the time on eLog is showing 2 hours earlier than the actual time. After investigation, we have found the root of the problem and are working to solve it with our vendor as quickly as possible.

How many organisations are there for large professionals?
I may need to join.

It's the "growing" bit that's the problem
It's that or diet, and joining sounds easier...

Am I alone who sees this problem on the CP home page ?
- 2-columns layout for articles (this is great ..)
- but... author(s) line is overlapping a bit with the description under it, making the author name difficult to read ...
I use IE11 (sorry, I know, I know ... ) with zoom 125 %, and zoom 100 % doesn't solve it ...

Take a screenshot (WINKEY + SHIFT + S will select and copy a small screen area) and post it to Sugs'n'Bugs - tell Chris what browser and version, that may be relevant.
I'll email instructions on how to post a picture directly.

As a developer i applied in 3 to 4 IT companies where i selected but i was not comfortable so i did not joined . Because the thing is they offer me Rs 8000/month .. The problem is not Rs 8000 the problem many of my friends who are not graduate even are earning 20k to 25k in call centers or technical support.
SO IF A CALL CENTER CAN OFFER A SALARY OF RS 20K TO 25K THEN WHY THESE IT COMPANIES ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT SALARY.WHYYYYY??
|
|
|
|
|
Dunno.
Probably because the call centre workers are trained and good at their jobs, where you are applying for "beginner" jobs?

Now situation is not that bad my first internship was 60$ per month back in 2012 and after 3 months I got hired permanent on 120$ per month and I worked for almost an year on that as I was beginner and was in learning phase.
But I have seen students too who get great as student too and can write code to the level of professionals they get chance to get hired on good packages like you mentioned of 250$ per month.
My advice is to get started with career as developer, polish your skills and when you are great on the skills you can demand as you want in future.

Sure about that the 8K are not the Problem?
It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

It's general economic theory; supply versus demand. Obviously, there is strong demand for English speaking call center support staff, so wages will be inflated until the demand is met. Plus call center support staff are supported by western companies. The supply of software developers outweighs the demand; so the wages are much smaller. My advice is that if you are a very good software developer, consider mastering your skills at home and then consider moving to the west. There is a small supply of developers in the west and high demand. A senior level developer would make at least 500,000 Rs per month in the west.

Oh yes... specially for the "supposed Microsoft" call centers that are nothing but scammers. And they do a damm $$$ fvcking up non-techies around the world.

Your level of experience is a big factor in what companies will offer you. Think about it. It takes little/no talent to answer a phone and try to convince someone their name is Larry and that they live in Wyoming, but not everyone can be a developer without experience.
