A compromise:
Don't by stuff like Maximilien wrote: M1 MacBook Air an iAnythng and that alone may keep you within some budget (or would have kept your debts down, at least).
That being said, you can never have too many computers. If all else fails, getting something like a Raspberry Pi 4 and connecting it to your TV is exceptionally inexpensive.

You'll be fine without spending the money.
If something happens to your personal PC, can you afford to replace it after buying a laptop?

I see MacBook and I run in the opposite direction ... but "Air" ... (smell without flaming punk) ... have you ever tried to replace burned out capacitors using a soldering iron and a few YouTube video tutorials?
Might save some money in the long run. Waste of time if you lack dexterity.

Also, keyboard worth 1/4th of the PC I bought. So, we was very motivated.

It's fun right?
Of course I probably spent a small fortune on gas motoring around to find the proper capacitance capacitors.

Don't spend money on a Mac anything.
Just buy a *cheap* laptop, almost any modern one will do to consume content. Run Windows or the Ubuntu of your choice. This will solve your content consuming needs at a bargain price.

My question is why did you let the magic smoke out?
As for replacing the laptop, I find a high end laptop is sufficient for almost anything you need to do. Just get one with a 4GHz processor and not one of the 1.8GHz processors.

Why get an anything at all, if he has all the devices to replace the function??

Er... for the same reason the functionality was replicated in the first case.
Wouldn't that be the obvious answer?

I just read the news.

Now a good conspiracy theorist might have you believe he was murdered so the queen doesn't have to spend time writing him a letter next month.
Buy hey... that's probably definitely not true.

Akhlys - Pnigalion[^]
A surprise this week!
It's not often that such raw black metal makes it to SOTW.
I kind of randomly listened to this on my way to work and I was blown away by the sheer raw energy of this band!
Instantly recommended this to a friend who also loved it.
Apparently, the band name is taken from a book by Rick Riordan, whom I didn't know, but he's the writer of Percy Jackson, which got a mediocre movie that I haven't seen.

It must be good. Blocked at work!

Oh man, your SOTW's are totally messing with my YouTube's recommended playlist (not a complaint, rather the opposite). It's bringing up all sorts these days, my regular songs, old stuff that I'd forgotten about and totally random new songs (please keep it up ).
This is one of the random songs that came up which caught my attention tonight FAUN - Walpurgisnacht (official video) - YouTube[^]. I think it was recommended because it has a Hurdy Gurdy in it which is linked to one of your SOTW a little while back.
On a side note, the Percy Jackson movies are worth a watch, especially if you have older children or young teenagers. Personally, I liked the twist on the old myths.

Ah Faun!
Back when I was like 15 years old (which was already 18 years ago ) I went to my first ever fantasy fair.
It had stands with medieval clothes, swords, armors, lots of spiritual books, statues, stones, etc.
And of course, there was music!
And one of the first bands I saw, was Faun
My dad bought their album, Licht, which they had probably just released at the time (which was released in 2003).

Glad you like my SOTW's, I enjoy all your suggestions too!
