That is one my pet peeves. It annoys the $%#^@* out of me when people call a flashdrive a USB. There is no such thing as a USB or even an USB.

A flash drive is a USB device
public class USB
{...}
public class FlashDrive: USB, IMemoryDevice
{..} And that is abbreviated in common parlance to "USB".

With an overwhelming turnout of 5 (including two spoiled ballots) we have a result: 66% of those interested want a CCC tomorrow.
So be it!

Is that vote turnout higher than it was for Brexit?

5 out of 13,467,580?
I think turnout could be charitably described as "low" ...

5 out of 13,467,580 that have ever logged on and registered. Have the voter registration polls been purged of those that are no longer alive?

Nope... I'm saying the number of registered users doesn't necessarily reflect the number of CURRENT users. It is the polling booths responsibility to adjust the record of eligible voters, merely to ensure the voting process is a level playing field for all.

So I had 2 texts and an email from "Google" telling me that someone had tried to access my account but didn't have the correct password and were attempting to change it. Was that me?
Well, one, I didn't recall using that email address with Google and two, no I hadn't requested a password change. All a bit odd.
Then I recalled that I had once used that email address for something at Google but some years ago and haven't used it since.
Still, better to be safe. I logged in directly from the Google home page and went through the motions to change the password and they suspended the account for a few days whilst they reviewed it. Fine by me.
Thing is, not sure if it was a scam in that the emails I received appear to be real or just someone trying their luck at accessing the account. As it happens I have a secure password strategy so not worried that they'll guess it. Still, very odd.
One of the text messages came from area code 614 (Ohio) and a quick search had the number as a scam line.
Anyone else had this?

I had something similar a month or two back. Somehow I got texts in my gmail basically saying the same thing and providing a link. I ignored it. Why would gmail bother texting my email account and send an obscure link - makes no sense. Also I learned that day you can apparently text someone's email. The more you know!
