For me some PackageReferences s disappeared from VS (not from the project file) and the build failed...
Reverting to 16.5.3 solved the problem...

Report the issue. I had an issue recently, reported it and they actually respond

Thanks for the warning, one of my colleagues, who is an eager upgrader, reported problems too with NuGet packages taking very long to download.

Well, that explains why I had a bunch of references break a few weeks ago. Fought with it for some time, before just removing the references, and adding them back...

Of course, VS had been offering to install that update for a week now, and it's only yesterday that I finally relented and let it go ahead. And now I'm reading your message...

Looks like the same idiots that are in charge of the Windows updates have been given the responsibility of building the visual studio updates...

Yeah I was never getting that (I just cheated after you suggested an anagram)... where is the anagram indicator??

|

"missing one" - take a letter out and shuffle the rest. Also "one" is a hint as to what letter to remove.

Yeah I get the "take a letter out bit"... missing != shuffle in my book though.

Well, unless the clue involves something like turning flood into food , a shuffle of what's left is almost inevitable.

Yeah I get what you are saying and perhaps you are right, it's just that it's not obvious (to me anyway) that "quaint" is definitely not a synonym that first needs to be resolved, after which the clue may be as simple as a flood/food solution.
Anyway, this clue is nothing compared to some of the "rule breakers" I have seen on here before. We don't really have a super-fixed standard for them, and nor should we - it's just a bit of fun

Sorry for the silence - as for using anagram solvers ? well - you are up tomorrow
