Atomic?
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.
|
|
|
|
|
Nope - but if this were mastermind you'd get one black peg and two white pegs.

malice - grr, nasty - nasty people created the bomb
amelic - limbless - the desire to seperate people from their limbs created the bomb
maleic - some sort of chemical thing - seems to be used in engineering and sweeteners, perhaps makes part of the bomb
All made by power C following me I and a lunatic (anagram*) MALE
OK, I'm stuck.
*except the last one cos I don't think that male counts as an anagram of male
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

No anagram of male involved...

Just worked that out after reviewing the rules of mastermind
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Is it "Fusion", can't justify it though..
You have just been Sharapova'd.
|
|
|
|
|
Not fusion, no.
(If it were mastermind, Fusion scores two white pegs)
|
|

I think I have the answer now but still I have no idea what's with the "mastermind" and "two white pegs".
You have just been Sharapova'd.

That's not part of the clue. It means you have two letters right but in the wrong places.

Mastermind[^]
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Ah, that explains it.
You have just been Sharapova'd.

Shouldn't that be one black, one white?
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

It should indeed!
(Why do they even let me use a computer..?)

I kind of liked the idea of using white and black pegs for CCC's.
You have just been Sharapova'd.

Just realised I've spent the last 20 minutes or so googling how to make thermonuclear devices so if anyone on here works where I do probably best to keep your head down if the doors fly open at some point today.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Just don't type the words "terrorist", "ISIS", "suicide bomber" or "Islamic terrorism" into any post.
I almost did and remembered at the last moment not to, so I should be fine.

"Jihad" and "Obama" would be a bad combination as well.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

no - my history of computing textbooks don't actually mention Hitler much...

Damn lame typing, I meant Turing of course, but I don't think he was involved in the hydrogen bomb.
