I can see everyone's excitement over possibility affording a suborbital flight (not even that, more like just high altitude flight with fall back to earth). I would definitely salute them if they ever reach first orbital velocity of 7.8 Km/Sec

Too bad his rocket can't achieve orbit because that means he'll be coming back.

Okay, if that is not thinking alike ... Well done

From what I could read, lots of people are expecting the billionaires to reach orbit so that they can stay there once they reach it.

Even better: If they can reach something in excess of 43 Km/s (the sun's escape velocity from earth's orbit), you will never see them again in the entire solar system.

... waiting for a GTA V Update to finish.
I had half a hour before the court case started (video witness, nothing serious), I thought I'd kill some lawyers for Martin Madrazo.
But no. GTA V is updating to the Los Santos Tuners edition, and that is s...l...o...w.

Recently wanted to do some online gaming, Borderlands 3, with a friend, from around 20:00 to 22:00.
He was running late, so we'd start somewhere between 20:15 and 20:30.
Except there was an update pending and it's required if you want to make use of its network capabilities.
Half an hour later we finally got to gaming.
Last weekend I told a friend about an awesome game I'd played on the PS4, Horizon: Zero Dawn.
I'd show it to him, but I'd have to install it first, because I had to de-install it because a PS4 only has so much room for games.
But I couldn't install it because I'd have to de-install something first...
Gone are the good old days where you'd just insert a disc and get to gaming!
Of course it's not all bad, but it's not all better either.

I think it was "Uncle Bob" Martin, in his book Clean Architecture, who describes one of those tapes, or probably it's pre-pre-predecessor, a disc, shooting through a wall over the parking lot
No way in hell a downloaded game could do that

How big is the update? I'll probably fire up the game in the middle of the afternoon so everything's ready by evening...

Not sure - but it wasn't small and restarted the Rockstar loader a dozen or more times.
The Tuner edition adds races and missions, and a new property to purchase: the Autoshop

Any new garages? I just need extra storage space. I have all the largest garages you can own, and I'm literally out of room. I wish you could drive any vehicle to any location in a garage, rather than having them assigned to a fixed "slot". A 10-car garage could hold more like 25.
Years ago, after I bought all the essentials, I had set a goal of buying all the vehicles that were discounted on a given week (that I didn't already have, obviously). This is where that got me.

I've bought one car - other than the freebies - because I quite like the Issi and it was cheap. The rest of my garages are full of podium wins ... including two Overflod Entity XF's that I won in successive weeks and assumed was a bug.
My "daily driver"? The Revolter I won in April.
But I bought an Oppressor 2 to make grinding easier (boy, does it ever) and most of the time I zap around on that. Only killed one player with it (he decided to griefer me when I was standing beside it, so I killed him three times to make a point. )
Haven't finished Cayo Perico yet - the first setup takes forever and I haven't had that big a single block of time yet.
Trying to decide if I get a Hanger at Fort Zancudo (so I can fly over / into it) or an Auto shop at the moment.

Agreed, it changed the gameplay altogether for me - and I grind a lot. But people definitely abuse it.

Once you get the hang of it, it's the best way to make cash quickly. If you do it solo, the worst you can do is $900K.
OriginalGriff wrote: Trying to decide if I get a Hanger at Fort Zancudo (so I can fly over / into it)
For me, that was the only reason to get a hangar. I don't like the hangar missions, but having free access to the base made it a no-brainer.

4.35GB, according to the launcher. My pitiful connection lets me pull down roughly 2GB an hour, so assuming I don't encounter any slowdowns, or none of my machines suddenly decides to download something, it'll be done early evening for me...
Wasn't there a GTA update that weighted in at 13GB? Somehow that figure stuck in my head...
