After Griff's strange one yesterday, we do need to know how many characters please.
|
|
|
|
|
As I said this is my first go I thought the number of characters were the number of symbols given , which in this case is 10

That's probably why I guessed correctly

Maybe. The rules also state that its OK to add up to three clues to help us.

Well, it won't be OK if he does not add up on of those three clues here in this situation

Clue 1: I'm behaving like one for posting the original clue.

Lazy and Reluctant (both at the same time)
This is how you behaving right now, for posting a clue. But both of them don't fit the no of characters

|
|
|
|
Clue 2: you could vary your estimating.

Just as a small info
It is easier to read for everybody if you modify your OP then writing it in new ones nearly looking like discussions

you can try to html encode them manually.
Example:
Character: ж
Htmlencoded: ж
This page might come in handy as well: http://unicode-table.com/en/#control-character[^]
If you click on a symbol a small tooltip with information like the html code is shown.

Ok thanks - is this how everyone here does it ? seems v long winded

No. I usually just copy the unicode symbol into the textarea (and I guess Chrome is encoding it when sending it over). But if that doesn't work for you encoding them manually might be an option

As i dont use charmap, sadly no :/

That exact thing happens way to often...
And I've read once that if it happens the door was designed badly, because good design is obvious
And yes, in terms of bugs I've been there too

I hate those thing.
Like...
Me: "Ehrm, could you help me please, i don't understand why it wont load that uc. Our Errorlogging marked the spot to be here but i don't get it."
Collegue: "Ah yeah let's have a look."
15 minutes later and several nonworking ideas (don't wanna write everything)
Third collegue: "Dude you forgot this over there."
Well we forgot to put a transaction.rollback and dispose it in the exception handling, system broke down after apptempt to save failed...

For sure I was both first and second person several times...But with time I'm more and more the third person...It is of course pure luck...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.
