That's a good marketing idea: hide some vulnerabilities in your product, and when the new version is on the market, let them become known and tell your users that they have to buy an upgrade because you won't fix the outdated version.

Anyone idiotic enough to run a website on IIS 6 this stage in the game is playing fast and loose with customer data. Running an out-of-support server O/S (Windows, Linux, whatever) is irresponsible and I suspect you would be liable if a major leakage occurs.

I'm ashamed to admit we use the OnBeforeUnload event to show a popup in an internal application when the form hasn't been saved. It's a large form that isn't using either progressive saving or a JS-based router, so we're sorta stuck using the dialog for now. Introducing either of the other two mechanisms would be a wholesale refactor of the application.

We kind of figured it out and that's was one of the main reasons we axed them. I thought as much from years earlier just by seeing how many freshly graduated fellow students ended up working for Accenture only from my University - 100 to 200 people per year only in the Turin area? Either the company is growing so big and so fast as to engulf all of the world's economy by itself or they are meat-grinders. I always took a wide berth around Accenture and competitors.
