Good Lord. I've always wanted to simulate a processor's internals, but I would have done it "virtually". No reason to spend that money and create a behemoth physically. And with VR, you could simulate all the "physical" equipment.

Quite. A couple of times I have begun doing that -- by using events as current  . Starting with a relay class, combining them to form gates, and combining those to make higher-level structures. I see that I have code for 8-bit adders and some flip-flops, but my interest quickly waned each time I started the effort. It looks like it's been about five years since my last foray into that morass.
I thought it was one of your articles that pointed me in the direction of GetInvocationList which I used as the basis for my first such effort.

You could simulate such things to some extend even in Minecraft. Youtube holds lots of videos of processors, even with graphical displays attached and calculators built solely on red stone in MC.

Wouldn't it be more useful to create an algorithm that tells you which programmer will create fewer bugs?

This guy is seriously telling people to avoid a patch that will prompt people to upgrade to Windows 10?
I totally get the argument that some environments must be stable and can't be updated willy-nilly. That's why we still have people using IE7. And that's not a good thing in anyone's book.
However, by far the majority of users should be using the latest stable and secure versions of software, especially operating systems.
Yeah - the UI and UX isn't the greatest but we should be putting pressure on Microsoft with constructive suggestions to make it better rather than saying "It's bad and evil and I'll dig my heels in and stick to my 10 year old OS thank you".

I do not say W10 is a bad OS, even the UI/UX gone too far for most... But I do say that the way Microsoft pushes it forward is much more than stinking... If these patches were labeled as 'Upgrade to Windows 10', probably no one would talk about it. Some would take their chance and update and some not. BUT! Microsoft released over 10 patches under different names - including some security related - but with the same purpose, foul people into installing W10... Where I came from it is called a lie! And I'm not one to tolerate liars...

That is my thought exactly. I even a know a couple of fools who insist on running XP - it apparently lets them do everything they need. In my book, if your needs include any form of connectivity, you're pretty damn stupid to use an O/S that is no longer supported with security patches.
They then go on to say they've never had malware, to which my reply is usually that they've never had malware they were aware of. The worst malware doesn't wreck your system, it just quietly collects data.
