Hmm. A microcontroller a 'single component' of a computer? I wouldn't describe it as that. And 128,000 times the RAM??? I presume they are referring to flash memory which isn't really RAM.
I own both, and to be honest I lost interest in the Pi pretty damn quickly after booting the thing up as its just a Linux box. We can all install Linux on dual boot or a VM if we want that. Surely the appeal of the Pi is to get on the metal which you can do but documentation is scant. I've spent ages trying to find a memory map for the thing.

Arduinos are pretty cool though and they've made it very easy to use.

Never used either, so take my comments with that in mind.
Yeah, it seems to me the Pi is just a tiny computer. The Arduino appears to be little more than a souped-up micro controller.

No. Look at the comparison table. They're looking at an Arduino with only 2k of ram (IIRC there're models with several times as much); whereas the rPi has enough ram to run light weight versions of linux. The flash capacity comparison would be a similarly large blower.

First, I have to agree with Dan Neely... my eyes now hurt.
Second, although I've never used RSS per se myself, it is used where I work.
We have a twice a month requirement to check for updates for our third party software. A few years back, someone in the group added an RSS feed from the vendor to our Intranet page showing any new patch releases.
It seems to have worked well until the vendor redesigned their support site and killed the RSS feed; I am now seeing messages from them saying the RSS feed is back. I suspect they weren't aware of how much is was being used.

Now? Why now? Cars are already full of software controlling many functions of your car (including breaks, power, traction, ...). There are many possibilities for software errors already existing which could be deadly.
