C++ is just the start, he hates the mere existence of Object-oriented paradigm.
He is pretty much focused on C language, or should we say, the "structured programming paradigm". Due to his rage, we can say, "Day is saved, for C!"

D is not a replacement for C; it's a replacement for C++. But then again, so is C#.
C is a language for implementing operating systems. And compilers. And other things that don't readily lend themselves to higher-level (e.g. object-oriented) languages. I don't see anything replacing it. Ever.
Object-oriented (and functional) languages are aimed a whole other set of problems.
C is still the right tool for some jobs. Horses are still the right tool for some jobs. Steam is still the right tool for some jobs.

I find it hard to think of any application for which Modern C++ would not provide a safer alternative.

Remember that my compiler compiled your compiler.

Every modern C++ compiler is now written in C++, so your point is?

The submissions exceeded our expectations, not only in volume, but in the diversity of institutions and the quality of the proposals. We were blown away to observe such creative, compelling and promising academic applications for HoloLens across art, medicine, visualization, education and more. From leveraging HoloLens to correct for visual impairment to mobilizing mixed reality in the classroom for trade-based education, the submissions truly capture the spirit of the program and point to the scope of what’s possible with Microsoft HoloLens.
Some of the recipients submissions actually sound pretty interesting

Rancher takes care of provisioning, handling virtual machines and containers, and provides access to storage systems. Better hop on the container barge before this ship sails

With this update, there are improvements in all aspects of the platform and experience, including thousands of partners updating their device drivers and applications for great Windows 10 compatibility. I love it when they break stuff, don't you?

Got the notification on my phone. Updating now. Will let you know how it goes...

I'm back! It all went smoothly. Took about an hour to download and apply. :crossedfingers:

If you're talking about going to Windows 10 altogether. I think it's better than Windows 8/8.1. I've been on it for about a year and it's been real stable and speedy. It boots faster. I don't really like the "flat/boxy" look but, that's "eye candy"
If you're talking about the "major update", I've just got done installing it and so far so good. :crossedfingers:

Theoretical computer scientists are normally a fairly sedate bunch, but are humming with excitement after a potential breakthrough in a long-standing problem called graph isomorphism. Someone here probably understands this one

Yes but perhaps only because they don't actually describe the breakthrough..
