A recent ActiveState survey titled “2019 Developer Survey: Open Source Runtimes” found that developers spend 20 percent less time on programming than last year. Efficiency!

The Binance exchange, which stores Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies for members, said hackers took 7,000 bitcoins in one go. Withdrawals have now been suspended on the platform. Sorry, worth $50. Correction, worth $732MM. Nope, now it's...

Golly.
Who would have thought that something like this could happen, with a currency that's value is based entirely on its use by criminals?

Microsoft first introduced the concept of “PowerToys” in Windows 95. It was originally a way for Windows engineers to test a prototype feature, and Microsoft packaged some of the best ones into a PowerToys bundle. Shovel another one on the open-source pile
Only two so far, and missing some of the good PowerToys I vaguely remember. Maybe it will go somewhere?

Still remembering last year, he wanted to reopen Google office in China and then backed off at the last minute due to employee protests. In China, for all companies, data has to be stored within the country making them fully accessible to the communist government which does not have a great human rights record.
This person truly has no credibility.

Trust is the cornerstone. Whether developers creating new products from Microsoft's software platforms or corporations and other institutions relying more on AI and the cloud, the T word means everything. I'll just put this here and run away

The only trust Microsoft has built with me is I can count on them to screw something up when I'm trying to meet a deadline or to force an update at the most inopportune time.

In a new paper, researchers from MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) have shown that neural networks contain subnetworks that are up to one-tenth the size yet capable of being trained to make equally accurate predictions—and sometimes can learn to do so even faster than the originals. Homeopathic AI!

Fractal NNs were always an idea, and were always best left as just an idea.
It's hard enough to predict what an NN will come up with (and if you can't predict it, it's very probably wrong), so saying that a "sub-NN" will do anything useful at all is a -- and I can't emphasise this enough -- A F***ING, BLOODY, MINDLESS, STUPID THING TO SAY!
So ms, apple, google, and law-enforcement agencies will love it to death!
