The DeepMind team created an AI system that can learn how to do things inside of a physics simulator by watching videos of other agents performing those tasks. Has it learned how to take a dive for a foul yet?
And of course, that's "soccer", not the other one(s).
Worth it for the videos of the AI trying to learn how to run

It is a good idea to teach AI to cheat in this early stage?

Next step... to teach it how to play black ops, counter strike and so on...
Following step... looking for a good shelter before it rebeals.

Turns out it’s pretty damn easy to spam the entire Air Force using just one email address. Fortunately, no missiles were launched via email
I wonder if that email alias is exposed externally?

But they used three years' supply of bits.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I’ll talk about things that didn’t make sense to me when I started, and now they’re the guiding stars in my sky. "Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did?"
Just getting started (compared with some on this site)

This morning, many people worldwide experienced Microsoft Defender warning them of a recurring virus threat. It's a false positive, and your computer is OK. Because, as we know Microsoft software is never attacked by malware

Reading the article, it detected Chromium based applications as malware. This would be nearly 100% correct - those who hate Edge will agree. Those who hate Chrome will agree. Very few of us like both.
As an aside, the current ClamWin AV engines detect OneDrive setup and update programs as a virus.

It is a well-established fact in software delivery that the earlier in the life cycle you can find and fix an issue, the less costly it is to remediate. Assuming the estimate of cost isn't based on bad data

Similar to what someone else said...
Do you think a good dev is expensive? Wait until you hire a bad one.

Questions to ask a prospective employer during a job interview Somehow, "Is the snack machine free?" didn't make the cut

An excellent article that focuses on determining whether an employer has processes that destroy productivity and morale.
