A colleague of mine always says: The money we receive at the end of the month is 10% salary and 90% personal (psychological) injury compensation
And something I say myself... if you always had fun at work, it would be a hobby not a job

and, some are fulfilled flipping burgers ?
without deep compassion, can we know the depth of any individual's sense of worth ... in, as Freud (1933) said, "leben und arbeit," ... "love and work" ?

Definitely a failure on the part of the companies to ensure their employees know how what they do contributes to the company. Of course that would also mean companies would need to actually pay their employees for their efforts.

Well duh! Because they work in pointless, meaningless jobs.

I find it interesting that after thousands of years of existence, we humans need basic research to "confirm" what any human of average intelligence already knows.

It's against the law now to break a sweat - don't you know? It's abuse, and we will not tolerate abuse. I think we should start a revolution against work of any kind.

New research from UCL has found that humans were only able to detect artificially generated speech 73% of the time, with the same accuracy in both English and Mandarin. I'm certain this isn't going to cause any problems at all
And I bet you even heard that in your own voice!

You can receive notifications when your address, phone number, or email pops up in its search results. 5,000 new notifications. (a second)
|
|
|
|
|
address = Google maps, tom tom...
phone number = phone guide
email = once pwned, pwned forever
Additional question... OK, they tell you when it appears in the results. But will they delete if you ask for it?

Quote: All this takes place from Google’s “results about you” dashboard on mobile and web, which it first rolled out last September. With the update, you can find your information on Google without actually having to conduct the search yourself. Once you input your personal information, the dashboard will automatically pull up websites that contain any matches, letting you review each webpage it appears on and then submit a request to remove it.

mmm... is one of those hidden features something that make it work properly? Or will it actually make it worse?
