I was thinking of going with Special Generalist or General Specialist, but then I thought of you

I'm thinking of saying I'm a Specialist Specialist because I do only backend and only with C# and SQL Server.
But it's not actually true.

And being an expert means that you have the skills to deeply learn the new technology that the job requires you to learn.
"I'm this, or I'm that" is BS. People are always learning new skills, forgetting old ones, adapting to new circumstances, etc. We are not just one thing all our lives.

Generalists for sure, with the ability to specialize in whatever, that's the ticket

As I wrote in this blog[^] you need to be both. You need to have both a broad understanding of IT coupled with a deeper understanding of a particular subject. This is something that is referred to a T-shaped.

I'm pear shaped, is that close enough?

Me too. We may be pear shaped but we remain peer less.
What a BAD pun.

"In addition to better support for modern web standards, improved performance, increased security and greater reliability, migrating to IE 11 also helps unlock upgrades to Windows 10, Office 365 and the latest Windows devices." So that's how you stop Windows 10 from installing itself

Edge? Hate it. The only thing I've used it for was to download Chrome.

Have to agree. For an app so hyped to be so...poor, even compared with its rather rubbish predecessor is incredible.
Installed chrome, haven't been back.

And that's what? A threat? A motivation? More reason not to use IE!

Yeah, not using IE11 is like disabling Windows 10 Updates.
That is good news.

Microsoft said:
IE 11 .. will continue to be supported for the life of the operating system on which it is installed, including ... Windows 10.
Since Windows 10 is supposed to be the "last" version of Windows, that suggests we're stuck with IE11 until Microsoft kills Windows or goes out of business.
Reading the article, I don't think they're expecting you to use IE11 as your default browser; you just can't have an older version of IE installed.

What dimwit came up with that idea?

The idea is that coders can now use Swift to build both a mobile app and the server code that drives the app from afar. Because a server is just like a big iPhone
