Yeah, SyFy is actually putting out good science fiction again, shocker! There's only so much Sharknado a person can stand.
The Expanse is really good, definitely check out both Expanse and Dark Matter.

Dark Matter is a really good show. Too bad it's only one season. The last episode wraps it up nicely. //edit// I just saw it has a season two[^]. COOL!!!!! //edit//
The Expanse looks good...

Yeah, they're airing Season 2 now...started off with a bang

Monday @ 8 on this side of the pond. But we're probably a couple of seasons behind you.
Still no sign of SyFy (or any other UK broadcaster) picking up The Expanse, though. I'll just have to stick to the books for now.

They've only just aired the 3rd episode of Season 2 for Dark Matter, so you can't be that far behind.
That sux that you can't see Expanse...

For me it was the entire SyFy channel even before it changed its name.

It's all down the tube...

Why wait until august.....just do it at the end of the current working day....."off switch, go home" simples!

We posted earlier today that following an architecture change Skype is set to drop support for Skype on Windows Phone 8.1, and older versions of Android. Those two companies really should talk more

I'm stunned at how truly, deeply painful and awful Skype has become since being acquired. From the UI to the quality of the service to these bizarre "architecture" changes.
Every time I use Apple's FaceTime I'm always surprised at how seamless and simple it is. And this is Apple software - not exactly a bastion of easily discoverable UI's these days.

They do. They're going up in smoke.

I wonder if they are making those changes to harmonise with Lync, so that they can then kill one of them and still have everything "working".

What, exactly, is the point of Skype on a phone? (Not just Microsoft; what is the point of Google Hangouts on a phone?)

Making calls when on WiFi, rather than the cell network?
Also, Skype et al also include text chat, so maybe that's a better answer?
