Probably wanted to publicize it today, because it's a joke.

Maybe only a 1. April? Not sure, most probably I do not get it. But @wong-shao-voon seems to me a serious member, more seroious than me. Only my 2.

I immediately did a search on C#: [^] ... lots of stuff ... selecting organize by latest resets the search so it ignores your keyword!

Don't create an account on there. The password format restrictions are fishy, probably the password are not treated correctly.
I created an account to see if I could download the EPUB but it doesn't work, only the PDF is downloadable anyway.
It chooses the username for you (ok, no problem except that I will forget that in 3...2... what was it again?) but the worst offending part is: "Passwords must be alphanumeric and not contain spaces". With alphanumeric it means strictly alphanumeric, no "special" characters allowed. I don't like it one bit.

It is something temporary free.
Use a trash email and the rest doesn't matter. Or am I missing something?

Microsoft's revival of PowerToys has been evolving at a rapid pace since its initial release, and today, the company has released yet another new update for the tool, bringing it to version 0.16. This release actually includes a handful of new features. "Where does he get those wonderful toys?"

So where's TweakUI?
Although FlamethrowerUI would probably be more satisfying.

In a preprint paper published this week by DeepMind, Google parent company Alphabet’s U.K.-based research division, a team of scientists describe Agent57, which they say is the first system that outperforms humans on all 57 Atari games in the Arcade Learning Environment data set. Now AIs are coming for your sweet high score in Pitfall

What, a computer can reproduce pixel-perfect movements in annoyingly long sequences?
Golly. Who'd have thought that computers could be used for repetitive tasks?
It'd probably (eventually) wipe the board with dungeon-crawlers, hack & slash games, and Tetris, too, but the company's objective is probably to get it trained up on FPS games, because the long-term big bucks are in government contracts.

If you weren't allowed to write code, would you know what to do with yourself? "Let my people go!"

I wish schools would teach kids early that you cannot make yourself "better". You can behave more or less pleasantly toward others, you can learn to do things you don't know how to do, etc, but you can't intentionally make yourself "better", because we don't know the criteria for better and worse (or even if such criteria exist).
Religions and political movements answer the question "why are we here?" by providing lists of things that groups of people have decided are right and wrong -- but that's just people making stuff up, so it doesn't count.
And I'm pretty certain that there's a fair chance that you won't make yourself "better" by learning or not learning more about React.
The way I see it, you can't do other than do what you think is right, as long as it doesn't interfere too much with other people doing what they think is right, because you've got no way of knowing if you're right or they are (a certain-coloured person who lives in a certain-coloured house notwithstanding; there's no way the universe actually wants mendacious nutters like that, who ignore its rules because they want to believe something else).
Anyway, philosophy aside, I'm also a first-class carpenter and joiner, so, come the fall of civilisation, when you guys are consigned to wallowing in the pit with the telephone-handset sanitisers, etc, and begging for scraps, I'll be living it large, basking in the adoration of people who are desperate for functioning doors, windows, furniture, etc.

Quote: If you weren't allowed to write code, would you know what to do with yourself? I would see what is needed in that moment and learn how to do it.
Having a house is something where you need to learn a bit on many things including several disciplines and handycrafts. So far the house is still there, so I guess I am not that bad at any of the things I have tried. With enough time I think I could master any of them, without being able to work in my current area, I would have the time.
I think the readyness and willing to learn can be more important than current knowledge, since it is what helps you adapt to new circumstances.

"AOT" (Aspect Oriented Programming) [^] is a metaprogramming technique used to achieve solutions to "cross-cutting concerns," like implementing logging, or, property change notification, in a way that the necessity for redundant code is eliminated, and functionality can easily be switched on/off ... and a lot more. PostSharp is a tool for .NET AOP that injects code at compile time and/or modifies MSIL. imho, if you are already familiar with using Annotations, you are using AOP.
More details on add-in development support, etc., here: [^]Quote: we included the following features for free in PostSharp Community:
OnMethodBoundaryAspect (decorators) and MethodInterceptionAspect (interceptors): limited to non-async methods (or non-semantic advising of async methods). Full support of async method remains a premium feature.
NotifyPropertyChanged: limited to auto-implemented properties. Support for explicit properties remains a premium feature.
Contracts: unlimited. Add-ins being developed (Git) for the free edition here: [^] Quote: PostSharp.Community.UnsafeMemoryChecker: prevents memory corruption due to unsafe memory access.
PostSharp.Community.DeepSerializable: applies the [Serializable] attribute recursively to a whole type closure.
PostSharp.Community.Virtuosity: makes all methods virtual. Ported from Fody.
PostSharp.Community.StructuralEquality: implements equality. Ported from Fody.
PostSharp.Community.Packer: packs dependent assemblies into a single executable. Ported from Fody (Costura). Disclosure: I use the licensed version, which is a remarkable tool; I am delighted to see a more fully featured free version.
