Like many platform holders like Apple and Microsoft, Google is in the position of providing both the platform for other apps and their own applications which compete with those apps. Even when you're the product, you're the product
Eh. Not sure about that one.

They are claimed to have the potential to be "millions of times more powerful than today's most powerful supercomputers". That's a pretty bold statement. But how? *Cat not included (or is it?)

GitHub Supply Chain Security Product Manager Maya Kaczorowski takes a closer look at dependencies: why you should keep them up to date and how to make sure you can quickly apply a patch when it matters most. When you import a bug, you're importing all the bugs they've imported
Or something like that. Brain's done for the week. Toodles, and see you Sunday.

Intel has delayed the rollout of its 7-nanometer CPUs by six months and is instead shifting focus to 10nm-based products. I bet they're going to blame it on a pandemic or some other lame excuse

A report released this week reveals good news and bad news concerning the current global state of security on the Internet. Wait - there are problems with web security?

What if we took the lessons of the semantic web and applied them to source code? "My thoughts are whirled like a potter's wheel"
Posting mostly as I'm curious what others think of the (rather long) proposal. Isn't it somewhat like what Eiffel attempted?

Sounds like a good way to bring IntelliSense to its knees. But then again, I'm not sure I entirely understand his proposal because having URLs for everything seems kind of crazy. Everyone tends to reinvent the wheel, so which of the 68,596+ URLs do you choose from? And versioning?

If you've ever looks at the semantic web specs, (even the acronym OWL has the words of the acronym reversed), you would run away in horror. Applying this to source code? OMG. No elephanting way.

Although the release for the latest version arrives much sooner on a relative scale in comparison to 18.5 being pushed out after 18.4, the changelog this time around is a significantly shorter one as well. So if you're a SQL user, set aside a day or two for the install
