A lot of focus is made on hardening systems from outside attacks, but threats from within the company shouldn’t be ignored. The hacking is coming from inside the house
Is it just me, or does that number seem crazy-high? Or are they just considering any possible data leaving the company as a breach?

Pichai suggested: ... the internet and electricity are also small potatoes compared to AI. Remind me again, does AI require electricity, or electricity require AI? < /end sarcasm > I would say I'm feeling dumb today, but I'm obviously not as dumb as a certain Google exec.
And anyone with real brains knows that hot water for your shower is the greatest invention ever.
Crash google servers with AI:
class GreatestThingEver {
public:
int MushForBrains = 0;
int operator()() { return MushForBrains; }
};
GreatestThingEver PichaisHyperbole();
GreatestThingEver greatestThingEver() {
return PichaisHyperbole();
}
GreatestThingEver PichaisHyperbole() {
return greatestThingEver();
}
int main() {
return greatestThingEver()();
}

As I've said many times before, if the data are on someone else's hardware, you don't own the data.
Everything from IP to supplier & customer lists is confidential information for a business of any size. Why would they think that this data is safer in the "cloud"?
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

"The glue code is proportional to the square of the number of things you need to glue." Unless you prefer duct tape code
|
|
|
|

An interesting point. Given I work almost exclusively in data management services, yeah, everything I write is glue: glue between the UI and the back-end, glue between the back-end and the DB, glue between incoming data (from CSV files to third party DB's to GIS data) to update our data, etc.
And some of this stuff is held together not by glue, not by duct tape, but by bubble gum and fairy dust.
