We’re excited to announce the public preview of the Azure Developer CLI—a new, open-source tool that accelerates the time it takes to get started on Azure Cloud Line Interface?
Because when you think cloud, think command-line!

Of course, it was "opened" a long time before, but with an unclear clause, mentioning "Unofficial CP/M Web Site" as a licensed place. I've got an idea to create a quick-and-dirty copy of it. I hope no one else does.

In the latest version of Visual Studio, users are now able to leverage the integrated terminal to access their remote targets when developing for remote machines from Windows. SSH don't tell anyone

I've been using the terminal with VS Code for years now. Funny to see classic VS catching up...

Campaign that steals email has targeted at least 10,000 organizations since September. I guess we'll be needing multi-multi-factor auth now

Nah... better the "no password" suggestion of some big companies...

If a cybersecurity company tells you to call them, it's probably a scam Halo. This be "David" from Microsofts Security Company. I am to be warning you of real serious fixing, I need be doing on your network. Call soon.

In my best New Jersey accent
"Yeah dis is Hal from two bruddas security systems. We heard that youse guys might need some critical patches ya know, so weez got a few software protection tiers youse might be interested in. We got the underware package where things got messy, but we come in and clean up the tighty whiteez, computas good as new. We got the silverware package that offers just enough protection for all yo github forks, we got da tupperware package to keep youse software contained from outside sources, and top notch hardware package where me and muh boys pack some heat and hunt down the nefarious guys through somewhat mostly legal means. We just need a little access to your servers and a godfather all access password to get it setup."

And the emails sent by the security training company my employer is using look so skeavy that I had to pull the first one out of the trash a few hours later after deleting it as a presumed phish.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Therefore, after January 10, 2023, Microsoft 365 Apps running on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2008 R2 will stop receiving security updates. I'm guessing if you're still on Windows <10, security updates are not a big deal?

Older AMD and Intel chips are vulnerable to yet another Spectre-based speculative-execution attack that exposes secrets within kernel memory despite defenses already in place. To be safe, never return any value from a function
Sorry, I'm too lazy to drag my brain through the original paper to see just how much "hands-on" this needs. Anyone else want to play?

As important as it is for organizations to continue to innovate their software products quickly and with quality, that cannot be achieved in today’s world without ensuring “psychological safety” for its development teams. Satisfied employees perform better? Mind blown.

The proposed 1,300-foot-tall lunar structure would spin three times every minute, generating Earth-like gravity for its inhabitants. Heavy, man

Well.. before dreaming of moon giga structure, perhaps first we need "an highway" to the moon, or some sort of low cost high volume massive number of space launchers...

Object-oriented and imperative programming aren’t going away, but functional programming is finding its way into more codebases. Because you need to look up the definition of monad as well

Kent Sharkey wrote: Because you need to look up the definition of monad as well I wrote a whole chapter on monads (or was it two chapters?) in a SyncFusion e-book, and I still have to look up the definition. Trying to explain monads in normal everyday English is one of the hardest things I've had to write.

I applaud any software that is functional when I use it.
