We used to have this a loooooooong time ago. The issue is that keeping this list up to date would be painful. Not just keep up with the ever changing list, but questions like: Do we include sponsors we allow in via Google's AdExchange, and how do we keep track of links and destinations given that many of the links can change during a campaign, some companies have campaigns from specific teams (so "Intel" is not a great link because Intel oneAPI, or Intel IoT, or Intel DevZone is actually the sponsor), and some sponsors are restricted to specific regions.

And a badge on friend accounts? At the end, the ones at risk are the accounts posting where we can't differentiate if it's a spammer or an allowed sponsor.
BTW... the original question is still not answered. Is my report legitime? Or should I remove it?

How many sponsors do you have? 
We're only talking about those who can legitimately post what looks like spam - and preventing reports on them has got to be good for PR, I'd have thought.
And it doesn't have to be anything pretty - a DB based table of usernames with "expiry dates" that - say - Protectors can access would do it. And there has to be something that exists you can get the data from, or how would you know who to send invoices to?

Apology accepted. Because of experience of my mother's later life alcoholism, one reason I became a psychotherapist, I am reactive to any implication that I am drunk. I never drink alcohol (no drugs either).
But, I wonder what provoked this reaction in you on a thread where you were not the OP.
Is the fact of a "signed" down-vote based on an opinion of lack technical of merit, or relevance, disturbing to you ?
