I can't imagine just for one second that he was serious about it; and he already apologized since he clearly did not think it could trigger your anger this way.
At our ages, we probably already experienced a close friend's death by now; I personnaly still struggle with one of mine for more than twenty years. Yet I was not offended by his post, because I can't imagine this could be a depicted reality; if it were, he wouldn't be bragging about it on a public forum.
We're sorry for your loss, we really do; and a lot more sorry that it has put you in such a dark place. But that does not an excuse for the words you have used and the tone you're showing.
I encourage you to take it for what it is, something completely disconnected from any tangible reality, and to accept Ryan's formal apologies.
