I would like information to be able to design an application that will show me the number, date and time of the person to call me by phone. A Caller ID using TAPI3

Heys guys
So in my application the user will select a name from the drop down list, click 'view' and the corresponding values will display on page.
A hyperlink is then used to sort the list in ascending order. For this to happen the page refreshes and displays the new order of the list.
The value of the drop down list returns back to its original value of 'select' instead of remaining the name of the person selected.
My Model:
public class HolidayList
{
public List<holiday> HList4DD { get; set; }
public List<person> PList4DD { get; set; }
public int currentPersonID { get; set; }
public IEnumerable<SelectListItem> Categories { get; set; }
public HolidayList()
{
HList4DD = new List<holiday>();
PList4DD = new List<person>();
}
}
}
----------------------------------------
my controller:
[HttpPost]
public ViewResult Index(int HolidayDate)
{
var holidays = db.Holidays.Include("Person");
HolidayList model = new HolidayList();
model.currentPersonID = HolidayDate;
model.PList4DD = db.People.ToList();
model.Categories = holidays.Select(x => new SelectListItem
{
Value = x.Id.ToString(),
Text = x.Person.Name
}
);
int data = HolidayDate;
model.HList4DD = db.Holidays.Where(h => h.PersonId == HolidayDate).ToList();
return View(model);
}
[HttpGet]
public ViewResult Index(string sortOrder, int? currentPersonID)
{
var holidays = db.Holidays.Include("Person");
HolidayList model = new HolidayList();
//not null
if (currentPersonID.HasValue)
{
model.currentPersonID = currentPersonID.Value;
}
else
{
model.currentPersonID = 0;
}
model.PList4DD = db.People.ToList();
ViewBag.NameSortParm = String.IsNullOrEmpty(sortOrder) ? "date" : "";
var dates = from d in db.Holidays
where d.PersonId == currentPersonID.Value
select d;
switch (sortOrder)
{
case "date":
dates = dates.OrderBy(p => p.HolidayDate);
break;
}
model.HList4DD = dates.ToList();
return View(model);
}
-----------------------
my view
i've tried a number of different attempts here, the following code worked but has the drop list problem
@Html.DropDownListFor(model => model.HList4DD.First().HolidayDate,
new SelectList(Model.PList4DD, "Id", "Name"),
// Model.currentPersonID
"---Select---"
) *@
-----------
my attempts to resolve this are:
@* @Html.DropDownList("HolidayDate", Model.Categories, "---Select---")*@
@* @Html.DropDownListFor("HolidayDate", x => x.HolidayDate, Model.Categories)
*@
------------
Any help much appreciated
thaks

If I use http://Localhost/virtualdirectory it is working
but If I use http://IP/virtualdirectory it is not working in that server.
Please suggest me

http:
Which IP? Internal network? Public IP on the internet? "Localhost" is another name for 127.0.0.1, if one works, the other works. (Unless someone changed your HOST file)
From the network; check if firewalls are off, and try to fetch a blank HTML-testpage. Remember to set access-permissions in IIS.

Hi,
If you are using local computer to access using ip address there should not be any issue only if DNS entry is set to redirect on another page. Secondly check if firewall stop your ip address from accessing the site ?
First try to simply add html page and check if it is also not working with ip address ?
Thanks

Is you computer directly connected to internet?
May be you are using internet using a Router which has own LAN. In this case you cannot access it using IP but other computer in your local area network will be able to use with you LAN IP. Hope it helps.

Hi All,
I have used this class to perform a operation irrespective of main thread after every 1 second. I have created a separate User control for the same.
That operation involves
1. The database transaction which will get the required values (4 values) from DB.
2. Display the values in respective textboxes.
The form on which above control placed is very complex and uses scanners, PLC's. So my question is will it fail by the increased threads created by above control?

There's no way to tell. We don't have enough information to tell you.
You simply have to try it and see what happens when you test your app to death. You ARE testing it under load, correct??
Unless you're creating hundreds of threads, there shouldn't be a problem, but only your testing will tell you.

Have you ever need any collection that do not exist in the .NET Framework? In that case please type your experiences and say the new collections you wanted in the .NET Framework. This is for a work I'm doing for school. Any Opinion will be appreciated. Thanks .

The two biggies that I've implemented are a Sparse Matrix collection, and a Red/Black Balanced Tree. Both missing from .NET.
|
|
|
|
|
SortedSet<T> has Red-Black Tree behavior. Any way. Thanks

It didn't when I wrote it way back when. This has only been available since.NET 4.

class EmployeeCollection = List<Employee> { }
A programming language never "delivers" all possible building blocks, as one can expect the programmer to be able to, well, program.
Can you define a bit more precise what you mean by a collection[^] that does not exist in .NET? here's no TStringList in .NET (like Delphi has), but I never missed it.

Why have you posted the same question a second time?
