He can copy the file containing the image. But he will not be able to know that it's image. It will be an unuseful binary file for the user.

No, you cannot encrypt the contents of the entire folder.
But you can develop a format and save all your files in one large encrypted file.

Create a Directory using the System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory method and then set the permissions to it as you wish. You can do that using System.Security.AccessControl.DirectorySecurity class.

I think you have answered your own question. If the eventlog stores it as a short then you cannot put a string in it.

I have 10 workstation on Vista and XP all connected to a windows server with SQL Server 2008 Express install on the server. Is there any way to use the server date and time on my application instead of using the date and time on the workstation? so even if the workstation date and tiome is wrong it will use the correct date and time from the server?
