Hi,
I am installing the next version of my .net 2.0 winform application.
A message is displayed when going through the install on a machine.
It says:
Microsoft.vbe.Interop vesion 11.0.0.0 should be installed in GAC.
How and where do I get this dll from to place in the references?
I guess, then I will have to publish again.

Hi All,
When a windows service is installed, the app.config file is not copied to the installed location, but I have some data in that.
Can any one tell me how to get the app.config file in the installed location of windows service.

How are you installing your Windows service?
Using the Visual Studio Setup project, the app.config is considered part of the "Primary Output" of the WinForm/Console application project.

I have 10 different classes in an application. I need to access a constant (int value = 125;) in all ten classes.
Which is better way of following two options?
1. Declaring int value = 125; in all classes
or
2. creating static class
public static class Constants
{
public static int value = 125;
}
using it as Constants.value in all classes.
Any other best option?

If you put it in a static class, this is accessible to all other classes, not just your ten classes. Putting it in each class is a maintenance nightmare - if you add an 11th class, you have to remember to add the int. If the int changes, you have to change it in all places.
Do the classes all derive from a base class? If so, put it there and make it protected.

A static variable in a class is the best option (or similar solutions).
Declaring the same value in several places largely defeats the purpose of declaring it at all.
If you use a constant, the value will be inlined when compiling, so if you change the value you have to recompile all code to get the value to change everywhere. If you have a static variable, all classes will always read from the same physical variable.
Experience is the sum of all the mistakes you have done.

If it is in standby mode, isn't the screen usually blank, and if a user is logged in, won't they be sitting near the keyboard?
Are you doing this remotely? Or is your C# app running on the computer in question?

What I'm worried is that, in standby mode, is that user is login or not. Because in standby mode all users are displayed on the screen.

WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().IsAuthenticated
Thing is that I want to check it is ok, in standby mode.

In my datagridviewCtrl, comtains one checkboxcolumn if i check it and close the window
and if checking status of the same checkboxcolumn inside closingform event it's formated value is false which should be true .
same.
This is happening with only close event same with closinfForm event.
Is there any function available in C# like "UpdataData(false)" which is available in VC++.
I tried with Refreash() and Invalidate() it not working.

I'm still not 100% sure what you are asking. But I think you are looking for the EndEdit[^] method. If the cell you are currently editing is not committed to the underlying data source, then you can use EndEdit to commit the change.

I would like to draw a line from one point on a circle to another point on the circle. I tried getting the points as follows, but the PathData gets only 13 points-not enough.
If possible, the circle should be divided into 360 degrees and I would like to draw a line from any degree to any degree. Thanks for any help or tips!!!
