Hi, there!
I have two related tables in a DataSet and I want to fill a DataGridView with data from both tables.
Could anybody tell me an easy way to do it?

1. You can create a third table and insert the required data in that table and then bind the datasource to that table.
2. Or you can write a store procedure which will just get those data and return select.

You can create a third data table (dt3) at runtime in the same dataset (ds), populate it with the fields from the two data tables(dt1 and dt2) and then finally bind this data table with the grid view using its data source property as shown below (but this solution is effective only if there will be same number and type of fields everytime you create and populate a new data table):
dataGridView1.DataSource=ds.Tables["dt3"];
This should solve your problem

Hi, fellows!
When I was trying the solutions you recommended to me, I found a third way to solve my problem (and I think it work so good).
1. I created a DataGridView and I chose as Data Source, the Binding Source of the first table.
2. I added unbound columns to the DataGridView according to the second table.
3. I added a handler for DataBindingComplete event of the DataGridView.
4. I added the following code in that handler in order to fill the cells corresponding to the second table:

{<br />
int addressId = (int)listRow.Cells[2].Value;<br />
<br />
CompaniesDataSet.AddressesRow addressRow = companiesDataSet.Addresses.FindByAddressId(addressId);<br />
listRow.Cells[4].Value = addressRow.Address;<br />
listRow.Cells[5].Value = addressRow.City;<br />
listRow.Cells[6].Value = addressRow.ZIPCode;<br />
listRow.Cells[7].Value = addressRow.State;<br />
}<br />
<br />

Looking at SysInternal's process explorer, I need to do something similar--get the % CPU time spent on a thread and the thread name (not owned by me).
So, how does one do that?
A: get the name of a thread on a process that isn't mine
B: get the thread CPU utilization
And yes, I've done some googling to find the answers and haven't come up with anything. Maybe I'm having a bad google day.

Hi Marc,
I once was looking for thread names, but to no avail.
My prime concern was giving my own threads a name, to ease debugging.
The kernel clearly holds a name for each thread, but almost all threads dont set
their name. Take a look with some tool (e.g. TaskInfo) and you will notice most
threads are called "Thread".
But any positive reply you get will interest me too !

i have a program that i want to be able to dynamicaly add ref to dll that i build at a latter date. my plan is to store these ref. is an xml file and when i run my program read the xml file and add the ref to the dll's. but i am unsure how to add dll ref to a already compailed program

That depends on if the .EXE is a COM server or another .NET app or not. If it's neither one of those, you cannot add a reference to it. You also cannot add a reference at runtime. It take it this is for plugin support for your app?

the dll is a csharp dll i want to implment a menu that i can add calls to a dll at a later time for
examlpl i would have a job that downloads files from a ftp site and uses the files to update a back end database and i could also have another job that downloads some zip file for a user to process at a latter time.
and i was thinking it would be easier if i just had one menu that i could add ref. to different dll's to handel the custom job's i want to setup rather than recompiling the menu each time

Your talking about adding plugin support to your application. There is no "adding a reference" here. Your code has to look in a folder for assemblies that have classes that implement an Interface that your app is going to expect these .DLL's to implement.
Google for "c# plugin support". You can start with this[^] little article.

i accidentally deleted a C# project file and i don't use source safe so is it possible to recover the deleted project as the system was not rebooted.
