Alternatively,
one can use the Split funtion depending upon a special character.
string[] string1=sample.Split("-");
the number of members are identified by the string1.Length property, which will give you the count of the members in the new string after the split.

I'm trying to connect to an access DB remotely. I'm using a web server to access this DB. Is it possible to connect to an access DB in this way??
Or I must use someting else like SQL server for doing that?

You need write permission on the webserver, which leaves you with a pretty unsafe situation. I'd recommend something like SQL Server or creating a webservice which manipulates your acces database server side...

i am using a web service which manage this connection string:
EncoderData.DataManager.Constants.ConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;" +
"Data Source=\\\\" + host + "\\data\\BroadcastingData.mdb";
where "host" is the computer name of the remote server.
is that a right connection string ??

I don't know how can I make the Panel transparent.

a child control can not be seen if its parent is invisible.you can do one thing.when your parent control is getting hide remove your child from there and add it on parent of parent control.

You have a big problem. A control that has it's BackColor set to Transparent is NOT really transparent. It mearly tells the control to take on the background settings of it's parent container.
If you set the BackColor of the Panel to Transparent, only the background of the form will show through. Controls sitting behind the Panel will NOT show up!

Hi,
Hope every one is doing fine... well I need a little help... the scenario at hand is that I need to filter the exe files and protect some of them depending on their internal names or file names, for that I need to handle some event before the exe is spawned so that I could check the name and then grant the access if the name is not in the list of protected applications...
Now is there any way in .NET to work around the issue... the current implementation is a kernel mode driver... and I am looking for a .NET solution... can any body help.

There is no .NET solution. The only way to do this is by overriding the behavior of the Loader in the Kernel, which you've already found.

I am trying to call a function in a C# program from a native Dll. The siganture is -
BOOL WINAPI DllMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, DWORD dwReason, LPVOID lpReserved)
I think I know that DWORD is an Int32 and LPVOID is a long pointer, so I'm using long* for that, but I'm not sure what type HINSTANCE should be. Can anyone tell me what this means.

if you have made a proper tables style then for every column there is a property Header text other wise the name of column will appear as header for your view
