how can i create a mobile application in C# and what are the requirements

U will be using vs.net. Create new project C#->mobile device->pocket pc or smart phone etc.
you will be using the .NET compact framework. You will also be using the device emulator provided with vs.net during debuging ur software befor deploying to the real device.
Basic understanding of .net remoting,xml webservices,sync and async interaction is required.

These are NOT required to build a mobile application. They may be used, depending on the requirements, but again NOT a requirement for building any application.

He has not asked how to build a mobile app. but still i showed him the way to create a mobile application.
if u open ur eyes and see the last sentence of his message, he is asking that what is the requirement and i told him that basic understanding of the above technologies is required. So i answered him right one or the other way.
If you having nothing to post, then dont try to do so either.

OK, just to make sure:
SOME_TEXT_IN_UPPER_CASE -> SomeTextInUpperCase
or
SomeTextInUpperCase -> SOME_TEXT_IN_UPPER_CASE?
Subject-Line + Content = Not entirely sure what you want.

To just make the string lowercase you can you string.ToLower().
But to format it the way you want it, you'd need to write your own algorithm.
But it's really easy, if all uppercase strings have the format you mentioned.

You need to use .Split() to divide the original string into a string array (use '_' as the character to split on). Then in each element of the newly created array use the index on the string to get the first letter, then use .SubString to get the remaining characters in the element and make them lower case (.ToLower()), then you can move on to the next element. Use a StringBuilder to concatonate it.

i am using c#.net. i have added some controls(textbox and checkbox and labels) on a pannel when a button is cliked in form.now i want to add the event(CheckedChanged) on check box.normally its not difficult but i create the control dynamically so how can i add the event dyanmically? further more there is no fixed no of check boxes to be added so i cant make the event handlers prior to execution..

Firstly you can use the same event handler for all your dynamic checkboxes, you can always determine WHICH one was actually checked (or unchecked) using the sender parameter

Now when you dynamically create a checkbox in code you add an event handler thusly:

Hi, you need to set an event handler to your control (most likely after having created it).
Check the += operator applied to events.
yourcontrol.CheckedChanged += <here type="" <tab=""> twice and VS will complete the line and create a stub for your event handler>;
Have a look at InitializeComponent() in your form.

In addition to what the previous posters said, you can always iterate through the controls-collection, find all the controls that are of type checkbox, and add an event-handler for them. Just give them a name so that you can find them again, if you need to.

Just started experimenting and I could use a good reference or two on coding for office (specifically word in my case). At this time probably more setup than anything else. I am working on two machines and both appear to have some enviromental issues. machine one, allways gives a message that it could not load the assymbly (both when running in debug mode from VS and when just opening the word document with word.) On machine one word does start from debug mode in VS. On machine two, it fails to start word when trying to run in debug mode from vs, but opens the document with no problems when starting from word. I added text to the last sentance to prove it was running the assymbly in this example.
Anyways, getting frustrated. So any references or just comments on what has and has not worked would be welcome. Thanks

Hi
the mousedoubleclick event works fine for text boxes, buttons etc but I can't get it to work for a combobox.
Is there any possible reason why I may be having this basic problem ?
