Hi folks,
I am trying to use C# to get the IIS application pool identity.
I know it's possible to use Vbscript but it seems like there are no equivalent functions, properties in C#.
Do you guys know how?

Could you show me how to display 'a group per a page'
I have some groups and I want to display group1 on page1, group2 on page2.... Could it be possible?

You have different sections for each group. If you dont have more data than can fit on a page, then it is possible. Otherwise the group may go to another page. You can make the next group display on a new page by selecting the "new page after" property in the section properties.

Hi guys, I need to create a listbox control. The control needs to have a button with it, up and down, which will control the navigation of the items on the control. One more thing, I need to permanently hide the vertical scrollbar.

What are you trying to do? The scrollbar on the listbox acts like a navigation up and down. Why do you need to hide it and do something different?
You would have to inherit the class to do what you want to do.

I actually need to create a user control with that feature... a class that will inherit a listbox and within the listbox i need to add 2 button controls which will serve as a navigational tool for the items...
i have already found out how to hide the scroll bar through ShowScrollBar api call...
what i need right now is how to be able to control the items through the buttons and to be able to place the buttons at the same place (top and bottom of list box) regardless of how many items are placed in the listbox.

I have a user control that inherited from Panel. I want to remove the dotted boder that the panel paints. The base.OnPaint is not called so how exaclty do I remove the Panel border?

The panels I use doesn't draw a dotted border. Are you sure that it's not just the designer that draws the border?

Does it show border while in the IDE or when running the application? If it is while in the IDE then dont worry about that the IDE draws that. If you are running the application then I would like to know the Panel you are inheriting from is it part of the Windows.Forms library or you own? As far as I know Panels do not ever have a dotted border unless you put it there.

The border only shows up in design-time. I created a control that inhertied from the panel though I do not want the dotted border in design time.

I like to have a thesis subjects about above items or depending on them or relating them or something on their fields. But I also love new subject in software engineering or programming and if you have some these subject, make me really happy and thankful.
Please offer me some subjects or some sites which offer me some subjects with above specifications.

You can get all the information on the above subject from www.google.com  but, on a serious note why not cover a topic which in my opinion is far less done and that is on software project management, testing and getting the product to market within a given time and at a specific qaulity. This is something the software market has huge issues with and could use some brilliant thoughts on the topics to push for better qaulity in shorter periods. Just a thought

i have an assigment to program an app to find the value of p and q where p and q is tow numbers that give me the value of N > N=P*q ,if i know the n the i will know the value of p and q , by genetic algorithms the number should be presented in binare 1 and 0 .

Hi
I have a database containing several Tables. In a winfoarm, when I want to fill the dataset using data adapter, one of them generates this error (on the Fill statement)...
The strange part is taht when I delete the oleDataAdapter control from the form and create a new one, and then generate dataset from that, this error won't raise...
But the next time I open the solution, again the error continues to raise, unless I recreate the adapter!!!
Could any one tell me what is wrong (while I have recreated the data Table in the database and that didn't help...)
My data Table has two unicode right-to-left Text filds and two Memo fields...

i'm writing here because i'm an strange problem.
Taken two points, i' ve to find the step of x of line that goes on two points; to do that i had wrote this function:

dx = (double)x2 - (double)x1;

return xpp - x1;
Now i have step of x and to go to P2 i do that:

Xstart is double but i need its integer value, so i use a cast in a temporary var.:
Xtmp = (int)Xstart;
but any Xtmp are incorrect.
Now i know that m-value is incorrect, because when i find m by scientific-calculator i had another value: by this value my function work correctly!
Can an scientific calculator do division better tahn C# on Burton processor??

From where do you get the Passox value?
Double calculations are usually correct to 14 decimals. How much incorrect is it?
When you return the value (xpp - x1), is it supposed to be an integer? (Cause it is.)

Passox is the value returned: xpp - x1 (Passox translated from italian is step of x).
The function, i use Passox in, receives Passox as double; in this fuction i cast Passox from double to int, but in a temp variable: so i don't change the double var Passox (i do:
Xtmp = (int)Passox ) and so it's no problem of course!
The error for example is this:
start to P1(262, 2), end to P2(772, 309);
my final value is Pend(772, 308.99999999999886) -> after int-cast become Pend(772, 308) but it must be Pend(772, 309)!
I calculated step of y (i had to work with it too) by my scientific calculator (step of x and step of y have the same equation but for step of y i have that example so i report it!); the value is:
m = 1.661237785<-- it's work ok! Pend(772, 309.00000001300782)-> after int-cast become
Pend(772, 309)
value by C# is:
m = 1.6612377850162867<-- more precision but don't work as you can see up! This m by C# > m by
scientific calculator but the y of Pend by C# is less...
I write about only last point of my line but i need precision in all points of line... it's possible? I thinked to do:
PrecisionLost = 309 (y i want) - 308.99999999999886 (y i have);
Passoy = Passoy + PrecisionLost; (or, as the same, Passox = Passox + PrecisionLost)
but if someone knows another solution, i prefer very much! i'm sorry for me but i need maximum precision..

Your problem is not the precision of the calculations, but the casting of the values.
As you see, the error of the final result is 0.00000001300782 when using the hand calculated value, but only 0.00000000000114 with the value calculated with C#, so the result is at least 10000 times better with the later one.
When you just cast the value to int, you will be rounding it down instead of rounding to the nearest value. Use Math.Round() before casting the value to an int, and you will get the correct value.
