when use select France i will make new query with

So your problem, if I understand correctly, is that you need to attach an integer to a combo box item. This is pretty easy:

private class MyComboBoxItem
{
    public readonly string Text;
    public readonly int Value

    public MyComboBoxItem(string text, int value)
    {
        this.Text = text;
        this.Value = value;
    }

    public override string ToString()
    {
        return this.Text;
    }
}

// Code to add the "France" item to the combo box
MyComboBoxItem france = new MyComboBoxItem("France", 5);
myComboBox.Items.Add(france);

// The event handler that handles selection changed event.
void myComboBox_SelectedValueChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    MyComboBoxItem selectedItem = (MyComboBoxItem)myComboBox.SelectedItem;
    int value = selectedItem.Value;
}

the user will just see France

You can use ComboBox.Text for the text to display and its ComboBox.SelectedValue.

In binding, you can use DispalyMember for text display and ValueMember for the corresponding value.

Hi i am implementing a web app using c# and asp.net and part of the app invloves storing a picture of the formation played by an opposition sports teams aswell as some tactical info about them.but im just lookin for some advice and direction in how to go about storing the images

There are so many ways...are you planning on storing the images in a database? Search SQL images on this site, it should point you in the right direction.

that was my original plan i have managed to store the images in the database but i can only find articles that show how to display the images on a new form then but i need to be able to display them on the same userControl in a specified area.but i cant manage to find any articles or tutorials that can do this

yes very like that but the asp version of pictureBox(which is whats used here to display image)does not make it as easy to display an image in as this one seems to be

when i add values to comboBox i see use can change this value

how can make user can't change the value (just select value from list)

Change the type of the combobox to a dropdownlist. You will find it in the properties.
