Hello!
I have user control application, using Activex(written in c++) and I 'm getting following error:
ActiveX control XXXXXX cannot be instantiated because the current thread is not a single-threaded apartment.
I'm now developing on .net2005. I had the same application on .Net 2003, but it worked there without any problems.
I'm stucked and will appreciate any help

Email validation means not using Validation Controls in ASP.NET.
I want to check whether the domain and that emailid exist or not.
Suppose a user has entered an email like asd@yahoo.com
In that I want to check whether that domain exist or not. Afterwards
I want to check whether that email exist or not.

The best I've managed to do in the past is look up the MX record for the domain - if one returns then it's about as close as you can get. Goole for MX record and C#.

Hi,
I have to generate a report of absentees between two given dates using Crystal Reports in .NET. Suppose the user has entered two dates
01/01/2007 and 30/01/2007 I want to generate report on no. of absentees between the two dates.
This data is there in a table called tbl_Swipes. In this all the employees who attended the office will be recorded along with the date.
So if an employee does not have data on a particular date it means that he is absent on that day.
So, finally I have to generate report of absentees between two given dates.

im a newbie in c# could anyone help me with me a code.. i have a dropdown month which start FRom to To. I have a data through database accordingly to month so i want to to view the data according to their month for example data for january, data for feb, and so far an so on depending of what month did i choose in the dropdown.(hope you'll understand my situation. Please somebody help me out to this code.)

While no one here is going to help you write your code. Here's the approach to take.
Load the dropdown with options.
Add event handler for dropdown with code to select data based on the selectedItem or selectedIndex property of the dropdown.
Hold the returned data in a dataset or likewise, then bind the dataset to a datagridview or display the results in some other fashion as needed.
Just because we can; does not mean we should.

I am getting one error on server
"A namespace does not directly contain members such as fields or methods"
When i am requesting this page on server.
While page is working fine on Localhost.
Can any one suggest me what kind of error is this and why this error is coming.

From some google results, check to make sure your namespace declaration is in lowercase.
Example: namespace myproject
Bad Example: Namespace myproject
Remember that C# is case-sensitive.

Why do you need an application to do that? What exactly are you copying and to what destination? e.g. another computer in your network, another computer over the internet .. etc

We need to transfer 100gb files inside a "network" which is using 1GB network.It could be databases or files thst we are trying to transfer.
It could be between computers or servers inside teh same network.

I'm sorry I still don't understand the problem, you want to copy files from one computer to another you just copy them to a shared folder on the other computer or you could also use FTP ..

I will explain my issue.I have a big office network with more than 100 systems.I use a 1gb network.i want to transfer files between the computers and between the computer and the servers i have.
So for this purpose i am looking for an application that "i am ready to buy" if its necessary that will help me to transfer 100 GB single files over a 1GB network.
I tried in Google and i am at a dead end.
Can you help me with this please.

Hi!
The application that "you are ready to buy" is called explorer.exe and part of each windows installation.
Or you can click start>run, enter cmd and then use the copy command to copy files.
It doesn't matter how large the files are or how fast your network is in principle, copying works exactly the same...

Suppose I have two customers and one needs inventory module and other needs payroll module with actual application then how I can do this in single application...?
Also If I change some logic (Suppose bug fixes) then How I provide patches to end user...?

Instalation pakage keep a registry key.The key contain the information where the file have place.
Make a patch file with a cab or zip file.
make a small application with a patch button.
if u click the button copy the file and paste to the destination location
the location read from the registery
It is a same one.
