hi,
ok, i think building custom tab control will solve your problem.
i can give you logic for custom control.
logic of "HideTabPage" method is,
take array of tabpages control which are in custome tabcontrol.
and remove that tabpage from tabcontrol which you want to hide.
and when you want to show/display that removed tabpage then add taht tab page from tabpages array into tabpage control.
you can also modify this logic according to your requirement.
you can make some browseable properties also, so you can hide/show tabpages by setting property values.

I don't think so. Tab control is built for showing multiple tabs. Why you need to hide one tab page ? Are you looking for wizard kind of stuff ? Alternatively you can disable the controls in one tab page by casting the tab page into control and setting Enabled=false.

i have developed a program where a close button on every tabpage, i used Control.Remove() to remove tabpage from tabcontrol when close button is pressed, and add that tabpage when user want to add, so i dont think its hideous

I wanted the sotring of string column(sql server 2000 database table).
the table contains the following entries
aa
02
18
1
11
22
1a
2
after sorting these entries by the same column.
it gives the following result
02
1
11
18
1a
2
22
aa
but the above sorted order is not required.
then look at the ascii chart

Now according to my understanding , i thought i should sort the list in the order in which the ascii codes are listed.
Am I doing in the right direction ?

yes, if we use ready made sorting function in .NET library then it will sort based on ASCII characters, but here i think your sorting includes numbers and characters and zero based numbers also, so i think you should make your own sorting function which will use Comparer class to compare values and then will sort based on your requirement.

i m having a setup of my application..i want to run it on a machine which is not having the .net framework..so from the properties of the setup i choose the option ..."Download prerequisites from the same location as my application"....but on running the setup..it is not installing the setup from here...it is opening the microsoft site..and the client is not having the internet....so please help..how can i run the .net framework from the same location as my application.....please someone help..

Hi,
yes by default it will ask user to download framework from the internet.
but we can put .net framework redistributable packages in our setup files and we can write NSIS script for installing our application such way that it will install framework from given location in setup package, and will not ask for download.
for that you have to write NSIS script.
you can find resources to write that from this line.

user want one click installation packages, is you solution need to click on framework package installation? if yes then your setup is not for corporate users.
we have to give as much as comfort to our user.

You haven't read my post fully. I have told to make necessary changes in the installer to install framework first before installing application.

Take the properties of your setup project. You will find a Prerequisites button and the framework installation can be specified there.

i have replied with answer that you have to user third party installer to do that, there is no way to configure installer project in VS 2005.
but still you can find the solution in installer, if not find then try NSIS.

Well I think u didnt get my question..
ListBox.Items.CopyTo() copies the entire collection into an array..
What I meant that I want to check whether an item is duplicated in my Listbox..
So is there any method for that in BCL or do I have to manually code one?

Not that I know of. Surely it would be better to validate the input and disallow duplicates using the Contains() method, rather than adding it then having to remove it later?
