If I am reading your question right:
1) A montha ago, you gave your client an EXE program you had written.
2) Now, you want to stop it working.
3) You cannot change the EXE file at the client site.
4) You have a database which both of you share.

If so, then you cannot stop the software running, unless you coded it to do that before you gave it to your client. You could remove the database, or remove the clients' access to the database, but I do not know what effects that would have on you, your client, or other persons.

I take it the client does not wish to pay the bill? Wink | ;)
