There are many ways that you can accomplish this; but one of the simplest is to have a delegate respond to your change.

You can't generate it, one has to request it. The API-key of LinkedIn can be obtained here[^].

In general, one generates a unique number (based on a GUID, the date/time and/or a hash of the username) and send that by email. You'd have to keep a list of the email-adresses that match the unique number.
You can then verify the number/emailname combination in your webservice to determine whether the API-key is valid.
So, to define the best practices;
- Make sure that the identification-number is unique
- Use an emailaddress instead of a username
Hope this helps

hello all
my question is how to bind multiple isolated stored procedures to one crystal report?

You can use Dataset and fill tables in the dataset from different stored procedures, and finally bind the report to the dataset.

protected void btnAdd_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Cookies["message"].Value = "Hello World";
Response.Cookies["message"].Expires = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1);
btnAdd.Text = Response.Cookies["message"].Value;
Button1.Text = Response.Cookies["message"].Value;
}
protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (Response.Cookies["message"] == null)
Button1.Text = "null";
else
Button1.Text = Response.Cookies["message"].Value;
}
when btnAdd)Click is executed it sets Button1.Text = btnAdd.Text = "Hello World";
but when Button1_Click is executed it sets Button1.Text = String.Empty.
Why?

refer the cookie from request object rather than response.
if (Request.Cookies["message"] == null)
Button1.Text = "null";
else
Button1.Text = Request.Cookies["message"].Value;

Response.Cookies["message"].Expires = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1);
btnAdd.Text = "done";
if (Response.Cookies["message"] != null)
Button1.Text = "null";
else
Button1.Text = Response.Cookies["message"].Value;
}
Button1.text = "null"
always.
can any one tell me why?

It should be
protected void btnAdd_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Cookies["message"].Value = txtCookieValue.Text;
Response.Cookies["message"].Expires = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1);
btnAdd.Text = "done";
if (Response.Cookies["message"] == null)
Button1.Text = "null";
else
Button1.Text = Response.Cookies["message"].Value;
}

I want to get the maximum font size that can fit to a button.I am loading a Button to a panel.its width and height will vary(dynamically based on some calculations).I want to increase to the maximum font size.
For example :- Lets assume that Button size is (100,60) and Text is "AC" (only two letters will come). what should be the maximum font size that can fit in this button. if Button size is (150,250) what should be maximum font size that can fit in this button.
Please advice
Thanks,
Ebin

May following code snip helps you
Graphics g1 = button1.CreateGraphics();
for (int i = 1; i < 100; i++)
{
SizeF size1 = g1.MeasureString(button1.Text, new Font("Verdana", i, FontStyle.Regular));
if (size1.Width > button1.Width)
{
button1.Font = new Font("Verdana", i - 1, FontStyle.Regular);
break;
}
}

Not working. Sorry I did not mention the Button is docked to Full; button1.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
I am always getting the button1's width as 2.
Thanks for the reply

Hi Coders,
I have a C# application that lists the functions in a COM object via reflection. My COM object has very useful descriptions for each function defined in it's IDL using the 'helpstring' attribute, such as:
[id(24), helpstring("Here is the function description.")]
I am desperately trying to find a way of getting this text in the C# application via reflection. Is this possible? Is there a Platform API function I can PInvoke to get a COM function's description?
Have been investigating for a while but to no avail, any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Dave

You can use the ITypeLib (or ITypeInfo ) interface to retrieve this information via the GetDocumentation[^] method.

i need to solve this ..
can anyone help me ..?
i did this by validation but wen page_load event fires ..two of the controls (combo and hidden text box ) are getting displayed for a while ..
thanks ..

you can hide your controls according to your requirement or dynamically add controls according to the requirement. But first one will be easy while compare to the second one.

Hi all, i am experiencing a program lock up issue using entity framework and object datasource..Let me explain the problem..
As usual, from the datasources i choose my entity object and drag some fields to the windows which are a mixture of combobox, some fields are empty and some fields are are filled before. The problem is, when i enter a text to a textbox or choose a value from a combobox, the program just wont let me choose another entity object field on windows or close the program, even BindingNavigator wont work..The only way to proceed and get the program out of stall is to change the row `from` the datagrid..Normally i would want edit all the fields i have on the windows and proceed to the next Record, but the program just stalls at the entity object field i edit on the windows..
Help would be very appreciated, its urgent

Hi Guys,
I've just finished an application that uses MSSQL EXPRESS as its local temp DB. I just wanna ask, for convenience sake, is there a way i can put SQLEXPRESS into the installation such that it installs "silently", with the other app. I mean, without the user having to run the .exe by himself.
