Errm no you don't. The use of meta tags is nowhere near enough.

Meta tags often do not tell anything useful about the content of a page, they are often more like spam. I do not use them for such a purpose and nonetheless reach nice Google ranks for my pages.

Have a look at this[^] article on a fully featured search engine in C#.

Do you have the filename at all? If so, just check the extension - I know that it's no guarantee that the file is really a pdf, but checking for that would require you to analyze the file header which is a darn site more work.

I need to create a setup file that will install my application and all prerequisit software. I cant see how to add custom prerequisit software to the setup project in visual studio. Can anyone help?
Thanks

I believe this has to be done through custom actions. This[^] MSDN page has got some details on creating a custom action.
Best wishes,

Hi all,
I want to globalize and localize my Win Form Application.
I have read many article and gone through many ways of doing.
Mainly,
1. For Forms, through property window of the form, set the Language property e.g to French and for all the controls present on the form set Name property specific to each culture. It will automatically create the .resx file for each language.
2. Manually creating the .resx file and using ResourceManager.GetString, set the text of each control on the form.
I understand how to do it in the same project.
But in my application I have many modules. Every module have many forms, images and error messages.
I want to move all these resources and the translated strings to some Central Resources Dll.
All the other Modules( dlls or Exe) will access it depending on the Language selected.
Please let me know what is the best way to so it.
Thanks in advance.

IMO both could work well, you should choose what suits you most. I would go for threads if the job may take long, has lots of state, or is rather complex; and for a timer when it is rather simple, short, lightweight.

Luc, thanks for your answer. What do you mean by "has lots of state"?
|

Sorry, should have been lots of states or state variables, and is actually only relevant if you have to restore the object from one timer tick to the next, it probably does not apply to what you are trying. It is most relevant when a job is going to be sliced in smaller jobs that may be handled by a number of consecutive timer ticks.

I generally use a System.Timers.Timer -- they work for me.
An additional benefit (to me anyway) is that the handler method enters and exits on each cycle rather than running indefinitely. In my opinion, the method shouldn't need to know that it is implementing a periodic function. Using a Timer allows me to separate responsibilities.
The downside is that if the code takes longer to execute than the timer's interval, you wind up with two executions running at the same time -- you would need to allow for that or prevent it.
