fine - you know - you havnt posted any research youve done yourself
did you look at ZeroC ICE - or WUSTL ACE - or JBOSS - or do a google for open source middleware ?
I challenged your or your teacher's definition of Middleware - you responded - fair enough - so now, do some research of your own

string[] filePaths = Directory.GetFiles(@"c:\MyDir\", "*.bmp",
SearchOption.AllDirectories);
Is that what you were looking for ? That retrieves a list of bitmap (.bmp) files from c:\mydir\ and all subdirectories under MyDir, into the string array filePaths - you can then use (for example) a 'foreach' on filePaths to process the images

How to retrieve all the images from server,the source path by which i should retrieve the images from server
Did you insert images in the database, or paths to the images? In both cases, you'd fetch the info with a SELECT statement.
sayeed bagban wrote: then giving the Target path where all the images has to be saved.
Wouldn't that be a textbox or some dialog?

Hi Eddy,
I have inserted images as well as their Paths in the server...

Aight, I'll assume that they're NOT stored in the database - storing a path would otherwise be nonsense.

..and what was the question?

Google will find you lots of samples.

It depends on who you sms provider is, every provider has it's own documentation. Most of the provider uses url strings, for example:
Dim url As String = "http://smsprovider.com/plain?user=me&password=123&sender=displayname&GSM=mobile"
Dim request As HttpWebRequest = WebRequest.Create(url)

Hello All,
Suppose after drawing a rectangle with the mouse I want to give the rectangle borders, I would probably need to some how detect the rectangle. If that is what I need to do in order to draw borders around existing objects or remove borders from existing objects, how would I go about doing that? Thanks in advance for your reply.
|
|
|
|
|
Use a class that contains the details of the object and when creating a new object with the mouse you just save the details in the object. Then in your paint routine you iterate through your collection of objects and draw them according to their details. There are lots of sample drawing programs around that will demonstrate this.

hi all,
actually I recently made a web application. I have around 20 store procedures [for insert, update and delete] , around 12 store procedures are having different numbers of procedures.
I made different functions for every single operation, like see the code below
#region Update Comment
public int Update_Comment(string Comment, string Leave_ID)
{
SqlCommand com = new SqlCommand("Update_Comments", con);
com.CommandType =CommandType.StoredProcedure;
com.Parameters.Add("@Comments",SqlDbType.NVarChar,1000).Value =Comment;
com.Parameters.Add("@Leave_ID", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 50).Value = Leave_ID;
con.Open();
int row = com.ExecuteNonQuery();
con.Dispose();
con.Close();
return row;
}
#endregion
#region Updating Leave after approval
public int Updating_Leave(string User_Id, string Leave_Type, int Leave_Applied)
{
SqlCommand com = new SqlCommand("Update_Leave", con);
com.CommandType =CommandType.StoredProcedure;
com.Parameters.Add("@User_Id",SqlDbType.NVarChar,50).Value = User_Id;
com.Parameters.Add("@Leave_Type", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 50).Value = Leave_Type;
com.Parameters.Add("@Leave_Applied", SqlDbType.Int).Value = Leave_Applied;
con.Open();
int row = com.ExecuteNonQuery();
con.Dispose();
con.Close();
return row;
}
#endregion
here are two function first function is having 2 parametrs and the second one is having 3, but rest of the code is SAME.
So can it be possible, with the help of enum and param we can reduce the no of functions I made. all 12 functions are having different numbers of parameters.
can we reduce 20 functions to 1 or 2 functions [functions may be lengthy; having many if/else conditions] ? is this possible.
for that I did like below
enum Operation_Type
{
Insert,
Update,
Delete,
Select
}
public void Do_Insert_Update_Delete(string Proc_Name, Operation_Type Type ,int No_Of_Args , params object[] args)
{
if(Operation_Type.Insert ==Type)
{
SqlCommand com =new SqlCommand(Proc_Name,con);
com.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
for(int i=1; i== No_Of_Args; i++)
{
com.Parameters.AddWithValue(args);
}
con.Open();
com.ExecuteNonQuery();
con.Close();
con.Dispose();
}
}
But I am not getting how to pass parameters and Proc_Name in the code above.
Please let me know
Thanks
Gaurav

Please remove the duplicate question.
What do you mean by problem? Does your application not run? Does it not compile? Does it explode random objects nearby? You have to be clear about your problem before we can help.

Hi Pete O'Hanlon! Thanks for your reply. My application is working but the onclick event of the code which I specified is not working. When I click on linkbutton is done not work, even no page refresh.
|
|
|
|
|
If the LinkButton isn't working, it means that you haven't hooked it up to the UI. You need to add this in the ASPX/ASCX page. BTW, you should have asked this in the ASP.NET forum.
As another point, that declaration of i in the first method is completely redundant. It's a local variable, and you do a test and increment/decrement based on the results. The test is completely pointless.
