If the code is a logical part of your solution then having a solution reference means that a full build should never be out of step.

Yes, first you add the Project for the dll Assemblies to the Solution and then you do the Project reference(s).
The reason I said it is better is that:
VS will keep track of whether you're building Debug or Release and make sure the dll is consistent with the rest of the Solution.
The correct dll will (can) be automatically copied to the same folder as the rest of the Solution so everything is consistent.
The version of the dll Assembly will be consistent in the Solution. Especially useful for keeping track of things in Source Control.
(If you modify the dll, then you can be sure the rest of the solution is referencing the one you intend.)

Thanks! I'll get that fixed right away.

That's excellent! We've been having these problems (referencing wrong dll) for a while now! This will solve that!

You can actually record a macro in Word doing what you want and you'll see the code you need. You'll just have to tweak it a little to work within your C# app.

If you look at the list of question by others, at the very top there is on which will tell you HOW TO get an answer to your question, I suggest you read through it and try again.

Hi,
I am developing an application in c#.net where I need to include the accounting information/transactions along with other data.
How this can be done? Please help.
Thanks in advance,
Guru.

You need to understand how accounting systems work before you attempt this type of application. You should understand things like ledgers, balance sheets, how tax is applied, what rebates and reductions can be applied. This is not a trivial piece of work and not something you should try if you aren't an expert. Get it wrong and you could end up getting fined or sued.

That's a bit like asking, "I need to build an airplane. How do I do that?"
If you expect an answer, please state your problem in a specific manner.

I am sorry for not being particular about my requirement.
In my application, I need to provide, provision for entering accounting information also. Is this possible? Or can I integrate any accounting package?
Please suggest me.
Thank you for your guidance

What do you mean by "accounting information"? That term is very vague. Of course it's possible to build an accounting package - but you need detailed specifications in order to do so. Integrating an existing accounting package is also possible if the package supports integration (i.e. offers an API that your program can call).

It appears that, new for server 2012, Windows is delaying the start up of any application that is in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or in the profile specific or global start up folder
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start menu\Programs\StartUp
If you haven't seen this, create a shortcut to calc.exe on a 2008 or 2008r2 box, put it in the start up folder log out and then log in, it should pop up immediately. Try that on a 2012 box and you can could to 5 or 10 (depending on how fast you count) before it will appear, starting after the desktop has loaded. I would like to know what this specific feature is called, if it can be altered and if not, how to get around it within my code?
Thanks!
