I have a wsdl for a Java Webservice and the .NET wsdl tool will not generate a proxy class. I guess the problem was that the wsdl was referencing xsd that the tool did not understand. Changing the return type to String made it to get the proxy. But when I send message the Soap wrapper adds an element by the parameter name after the Soap body. I tried the Use and Parameter Style set to 'Encoded' and 'Bare' resp. but that only make the element to be called 'String'. I am not sure why this happens and how to prevent it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Vishy

Hi all
I have a form with a datagridview and a couple of fields on it. These are bound to a dataset.
When I select a record in the datagridview, the correct information shows up in the fields.
Now I want to give the user a visual indicator that data on the form has changed.
To do this I have put a panel at the top of the form. The idea is :
if the data has not changed the panel is green
If the data has been changed by the user, the panel goes red.
This is causing problems.
I had the event to change the colour in the textchange event. Problem: when i move to the next record, the text changes and I get a red flag when the user has not changed data.
I can work around this using the keypress event for text fields, the click event for checkboxes as these are not triggered when the text for the next record is displayed.
What do I do with the dropdown boxes to get the same effect?
Also just noticed : If I use the mouse and select and cut the data from the text field, the keydown event (obviously) is not triggered.
Rowchange OR rowchanging does not get triggered until I select the next record in the datagridview
Can anyone suggest a simple way to implement what I thought would be basic functionality?
I realy would like my users to know when a single field has been changed as they change it
Thanks

Which library should you use for editing, playing ect. media files in Windows Vista?
Will DirectShow be discontinued in DirectX10?
Will .NET 2.0 be included in Win Vista?

.NET 2 is included in Vista. It's called WinFX, and actually is a superset of what's currently inside the .NET framework.
For media files like that, WinFX has APIs in the System.Windows.Media and many 3d APIs with video and animation support contained within the System.Windows APIs.
DirectShow is already discontinued; it's functionality has been rolled into the Platform SDK since last April.

Actually...WinFX is the implementation of codename Avalon. It is solely applicable to windows form development and is appended to the 2.0 framework. WinFX, however, is NOT a new name for .NET 2.0. The pieces of code that will integrate WinFX development into Visual Studio is codename Orcas.

Nope, the implementation name of Avalon is Windows Presentation Foundation. WinFX is the framework encompassing all managed development, including the .NET 2.0 framework and all related developer tools such as XamlPad and others.

This is a question to ask on one of the Microsoft forums. This isn't a C# programming question.

Don't know.

Hello,
Im writing this app that constantly read data from a target. When the target sends me a response, i only received a partial data of that response. however when i use debug/break mode to step through it, i receive the complete data. Any idea about that?
Is there a code equivalent to a break?
Thank you,
Donkaiser

Just log your data to a file. You can check your file after receiving data.

Are you reading from an asynchronous stream, like a socket? These things behave differently depending on external factors, so you may get different results when debugging. If this is the case, you need to be a little more careful about what's in the buffer and when you've reached the end of a message.

When I type in the combo box it would find the nearest value and fill in the combo box with that text but still allow me to continue typing if I want to find a value that isn't the first match.
Example:
New York Knicks
New York Mets
New York Yankees
If I typed "New" it would find the Knicks and fill in my combo box with "New York Knicks" but would allow me to keep typing cause the value I do want is the "New York Yankees", once I tab off the control it will select the value that is the closest match ande once the user starts typing the drop down list displays the values. Is this possible? I hope that makes some sense.
i have search through the net and i cannot find one that behaves like the one i described above.
if any of you have seen or wrote articles about this please refer me.
thanks
regards paula

in addition to the link provider by the above poster, you can have a look at this
http://www.codeproject.com/cs/combobox/csautocomplete.asp
Also if you are using Visual Studio 2005 then you can easily set the Autocomplete property of combobox to custom source.

Hi people ! Any of you know who to add a link to exe file into Windows menu "Programs\StartUp" without using registry key ?
Thnaks a lot !!!!!
|
|
|
|
|
Copy your link to :
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
|
|
|
|
|
|
You can put a link in the startup folder of the start menu, or add a registry entry to either
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(if you want it to run whenever the computer starts)
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(if you want it to run whenever only the current user logs on)
(Application.Executeable (something like that) is the path...)

In the designer, right click the datagridview and select "edit columns." You can add/remove/modify columns there. If you're doing this at runtime, there are a few types of columns you can add, all with a name like "datagridview(something)column". Just use datagridview.columns.add(column)

Hi,
I am automating excel from my windows application developed using C# and saving this file having the reports obtained through a query.
Then I am mailing the excel file as an attachment through the application using the system.web.mail class provided by .net.
Now the mail feature works fine but when the person receives the mail, and clicks on the excel attachment to open it, he gets the following error:
"abc.xls" cannot be accessed. the file may-be read only or you may be trying to access a read-only location or the server on which the document is stored may not be responding.
Please help me out.
Thanks in advance,
Aryan.
