Have you tried using the Control.SetStyle method? There's a number of properties that might be useful for you in it, including double buffering and such...

Standards are great! Everybody should have one!

I am using double buffering, but I don't think I've looked at the SetStyle method.

Anyway, I've been digging in the framework with .NET reflector, and I've managed to disable the mdi system buttons. So, I'm trying to use the standard functionality right now, meaning I won't dock the childs. To get the functionality I want, I override WndProc, and return when I get the message to maximize the window... So now restore and maximize will restore / maximize only the selected child.

I am Used two Updated Panel in two Seprate Asp panel

(i.e Panel1(visile true) And panel2 (visible false))

My Caleder control is in panel2 which is initially visible false
on button click am change it (i.e make panel1 visible false and panel2 visible true) but at that time it's not work fine

You create an array of float values that represent the length of alternating dashes and spaces, and put in the DashPattern property.

What do you mean by a " < " dash style?

Hi,
I get stuck to retrieve value of a variable from one form to another form.

What is the best option to declare global vaiable, that i require in whole project.When i Inherit the form in which that particualr variable is declared, it inherited the all controls.And automatically it embbed on another form where i want that variable value. I m using VS 2005.

One more thing, what is purpose of Program.cs file, that automatically included in Project. What code we should write there.

In my experience the MVC pattern has never impressed anyone. Sigh | :sigh:

However it does solve many technical problems that are common to design by adhering to fundamental practices of software design discipline. Of course one of them is the question that started this thread which is, as you pointed out, very "common"... get the idea? Unsure | :~

Keep in mind that Article is just one example of a specific implementation of the MVC pattern. Another, more complex, would be the Framework provided at Microsofts Patterns and Practices[^] site.

hi,
how do I filter column for a DataGridView?
I've loaded the data like this:

DataGridView.DataSource = ExampleSource;
DataGridView.DataBind();

the Data is shown correctly in the Grid, but there are
to many of them. So i'd like ti filter them.
Where must be a way to make specific Columns invisible.
I've used foreach like this:

foreach (DataGridColumn column in DataGridView.Columns)
{
...
}

but he does go through the foreach-loop.
also i haven't managed how to delete the specific column
by searching it with a string.

i'll be grateful for any help

hi,

i have created the form and placed the contextmenustrip on it,

and enterd some values like copy,cut.

And i called that when user clicks the MouseRight Button
it is displaying.

But at always at the Top of the window.

How can I place it where ever user clciks.

Pls help me

Hello,

The ContextMenu property is a member of System.Windows.Forms.Control.
So if you set the property correct, you don't have to care about the position of the menu.

System.Windows.Forms.ContextMenu contextMenu1 = new System.Windows.Forms.ContextMenu();
System.Windows.Forms.MenuItem.MenuItemCollection mic = new System.Windows.Forms.Menu.MenuItemCollection(contextMenu1);
mic.Add("test1");
mic.Add("test2");
button1.ContextMenu = contextMenu1;
