Try that again without the use of double-negatives.
Does Crystal Reports come with the .NET Framework?
or
Is this right? Crystal Reports does not come with the .NET framework?
You see - 1 negative per question.

(-1) * (-1) = (1) right?

Hey,
This XML stuff drives me crazy (almost)
I have a string with the following XML
<object class="user" name="admin2@test.dk" xmlns="">
<property name="cn">
<value>admin2@test.dk</value>
</property>
<property name="sn">
<value>efternavn</value>
</property>
<property name="description">
<value>some desc</value>
</property>
<property name="telephoneNumber">
<value>789</value>
</property>
<property name="givenName">
<value>fornavn</value>
</property>
</object>
How do I parse that string and get the value for an element like "telephoneNumber"?
Thanks in advance

You can do that First Convert that String into Stream then put that Stream as parameter to XmlTextReader constructor and read that

First thing first, load it into a XMLDocument
XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument();<br />
xmlDoc.LoadXml(yourStringOfXmlData);
Then, use XPath to find the right node
XmlNode node = xmlDoc.DocumentElement.SelectSingleNode("property[@name='telephoneNumber']/value");<br />
if(node != null)<br />
Console.WriteLine(node.Value);<br />
code typed without testing.

hello.....
I had crated one array dynamically from database.....
nwo i want to know the dimesion of each column....
i.e.
Here I am Providing already created 2-dim array
string[,] colArray = new string[,] { { "StatusID", "System.Int32", "ABC" }, { "StatusMsg", "System.String", "ABC" }, { "Size", "System.Double", "ABC" } };
colArray[i,j]
what i want to know value of i and j........
|
|
|
|
|
Well, colArray.Length gets you the length of the 1st dimension, and colArray[0].Length gets the 2nd dimension. This (of course) assumes that you haven't created jagged arrays.

If it is bound to a DataSet then set the AutoIncrement property of this DataSet to true.
Otherwise you have to do it on your own (in your source of data).

Str4 is of type string and

returns object you need to convert to string so simple dude
try this
ds.Tables[0].Rows[row][col].ToString();

Hi,
I am trying to create an ActiveX using C#, which includes inside it a WebBrowser control.
This ActiveX is hosted in a web page (so I get a WebBrowser control inside and ActiveX inside a web browser).
Since it didn't work, I googled a bit and found this article from Microsoft which explains that it is not possible:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/237685[^]
after googling a bit more, I found the following posting (http://www.gidforums.com/t-10613.html[^]) which basically tells that calling AfxEnableControlCOntainer solves the problem.
I made a small C++ ActiveX to test this, and indeed, calling AfxEnableControlContainer makes it possible.
My question is - what does AfxEnableControlContainer actually do, and more importantly, how can I do the same in C# ?
I am an experienced C++/MFC and .Net/C# developer, so I can take a 'low-level' solution.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi all, I'm having a problem that is driving me mad...
I have a tablelayout panel that can have several subpanels in a column. These subpanels must resize as the tablelayout panel resizes, but under a minimum size a horizontal scollbar must appear. A vertical scrollbar is used to scroll the content when these subpanels go out the window.
The subpanels have a varying height, that is they can be opened and closed with a button to show/hide their content.
The problem is that when I open a panel and this makes a vertical scrollbar to appear, .net first creates the V.scrollbar and then creates a H scrollbar because the Vertical one hides a few pixel. But as I said the width should resize with the tablelayout.
I cannot find a way to avoid the H scrollbar to appear only to scroll the 17 px hidden by the V scrollbar. I tried many (really too many) possible solutions without luck.
Thank you!
