I don't know of a standard path where a webcam would store all the captured images. The app might store it in "my pictures", or in a folder where the app is installed. Different webcam applications may use different folders, don't you think?

So, have an option in your application where the user can specify the path on where to store the captured images. It would be ideal to create a folder, within the "My Pictures" folder, and store the images there by default.

There's no default saving location. Create a folder within My pictures like "My Captures" and store it within that folder.
sirisha guttikonda wrote: i'm using hp wecam here
Umm... So, you are not writing an utility for a webcam yourself? Are you just intending to find the default location where this HP webcam stores the captured images? If yes, there must be an app that should be controlling it. Why not check with the settings?

I have a simple experimental WPF application which works fine.
However the designer is broken.
I'm working on a MarkupExtension which takes 2 parameter, here is the faulty XAML snippet:
<TextBlock
Text="{Binding}"
Background="{Binding
Converter={local:Script
'if(value%2==0) Brushes.Red; else Brushes.Green;', {x:Type Brushes}}}"/>
And I got this error message in the designer: "Problem Loading ........ <<Button: Reload the designer>>"
If I click on the button it fails and I got this error message in the error list:
Error 1 No constructor for type 'ScriptExtension' has 2 parameters. C:\Dev\Tests\ExpressionConverter\ExpressionConverter\Window1.xaml 13 43 ExpressionConverter
But problem is, my has extension has all the required parameters!!!
here is a snippet of its C# code...
public class ScriptExtension : MarkupExtension
{
public ScriptExtension(string code) { Init(code); }
public ScriptExtension(string code, Type t0) { Init(code, t0); }
public ScriptExtension(string code, Type t0, Type t1) { Init(code, t0, t1); }
public ScriptExtension(string code, Type t0, Type t1, Type t2) { Init(code, t0, t1, t2); }
public ScriptExtension(string code, Type t0, Type t1, Type t2, Type t3) { Init(code, t0, t1, t2, t3); }
public ScriptExtension(string code, Type t0, Type t1, Type t2, Type t3, Type t4) { Init(code, t0, t1, t2, t3, t4); }
void Init(string code, params Type[] types)
{
......
}
.....
}
Any tip / work around (to re-enable the designer) please?!?

hi all,
I have an exe and it contains some other dlls and using functions from that dll.I want to debug through that dll also using DbgCLR.exe.
can anybody help me to solve this problem?
Thanks & Regards

Sorry, you cant. Neither will you be able to step thru any code in the external dll, nor will it work on native dlls (you need VS for that).
xacc.ide - now with TabsToSpaces support IronScheme - 1.0 alpha 4a out now (29 May 2008) ((lambda (x) `((lambda (x) ,x) ',x)) '`((lambda (x) ,x) ',x))

hi
when i run this code this generate error
why?
objCommand.Parameters.Add("@nopersoneli", SqlDbType.int).Value =int.parse(txtNoPersoneli.text);
thanks a lot

1. What's the error you're getting
2. Should that be @"nopersoneli" ?
3. Should that be txtNoPersoneli.Text ?
4. Does txtNoPersoneli.Text definately contain a valid integer?
4b. Consider getting the integer value before this line by using int.TryParse method.

Yeah - just saw the 'crapiness' of the question and jumped on the obvious without too much thought. I never even looked at the beginning of the statement - the possibilities I spotted from briefly scanning just one line of code made me close my eyes!

Firstly "problem in code" is as usefull as BLAH for a subject line!
Secondly give us more detail, what exception is thrown?
by the looks of things you need to do this...
objCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@nopersoneli", Int32.parse(txtNoPersoneli.Text));
or
objCommand.Parameters.Add("@nopersoneli", SqlDbType.Int);
objCommand.Parameters["@nopersoneli"].Value = Int32.parse(txtNoPersoneli.Text);

His code 'structure' is actually correctly and will do the same as both your examples. Note: the Add method returns a IDBParameter.

I didn't even notice that! The examples i gave is how i use the SqlCommand(or used, im a Linq fan boy now!), the latter of the two is used for DateTime parameters to ensure that the data gets to the db in the correct format.

objCommand.Parameters.Add("@nopersoneli", SqlDbType.int).Value =
convert.Toint32(txtNoPersoneli.text);
if that doesn´t work is because "txtNoPersoneli.text" cannot be converted to a int value, or "@nopersoneli" is not int.
listen, there is not a reason for that not work

You probably need to escape the & sign.
replace it with "&" (without the quotes).
[Edit: oops. the escape string is "&" without the quotes]

I don't use asp, so I could be wrong. But in html, & signs must be escaped.
You need to create a function to process the company name that you read from the database and replace any illegal html characters like < or > or & with the correct escape string.
(I noticed in my last post the escape string was escaped the string you need is "&" without the quotes.)
(There is probably already a function to do this. You might be better asking this question in the asp.net forum)

You have to url-encode the string that you put in an url:
<a href="newdetails1.aspx?pid=<%#Server.UrlEncode(Eval("companyname"))%>">
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.
|
|
|
|
|
Use HttpUtility.URLEncode()
This will solve your problem.
