If pOggetto is null then you should discover why it is such.
Could you use the debugger to step inside the object constructor?

Can you post the beggining of your both COggetto.cpp and COggetto.h (I mean the section of variables, constructor, destructor, operators... but without possible member functions done/added by you)
When you use the Wizard to add classes, it implements some standard things, but most of the times you need to add/modify part of them in order to get your class working ok.

i am using URLDownloadToCache method, also implemented my own class class CBindStatusCallbackImpl : public IBindStatusCallback for call back and bindings...
i read in the MSDN that in order to support proxy handling i need to handle IAuthenticate and the method Authenticate...problem is i don't know how ?
couldn't find any example code for that
can any1 help me?

One more thing if i may...
i was able to work with IAuthenticate implementation (the method 'authenticate' did the trick)
problem is that the actual authentication occurs only once, and if the user and password are incorrect i don't reach the method 'authenticate' again.
what am i missing wrong here?

one would thought that when user name and password are incorrect either in the callback would return proxy_authenticate_error or authenticate will be called again

Im familiar with a certificate error where you intercept the error, search through the local cert store for a matching certificate - but then you have to re-broadcast the original call, with the cert details filled in
(hence why my suggestion)

Virtual table holds the address of all virtual functions that belong to a class.
A class having at least one virtual function will have an associated virtual table.
The virtual table is created during compile time and it is initialized in the constructor call.

I want render a band from a richedit control into a bitmap.
I have tried the formatrange/display band code, but if I render to an in memory dc it always comes out blank. If render to a printer DC I get the contents. The goals is to have background images and watermarks appear on the rtf content.

Thank's but I have already gone through the code on that site.
I haven't found one that works with VST2005 on Vista,
the compiled samples work, but if I uipdate the projects and build them all of the projects produce the same results I am getting.

hmmm, interesting question.
Is this an approach? Make the background of the Richedit transparent (never tried if this is possible), display the bitmap on the window (maybe with alphablend() to make it half tranparent.
If not could you give me more precise instructions what you tried sofar and why my approach is not right (I already see one: it will not go the the printer).

richedit2.0 and above doesn't support a transparent background unless you use the windowless textservices. The examples I have found do not work well, they were all designed with VC6.0 and something appears to have changed so I can't rebuild the examples, get data(I always get a blank window or bitmap).
